Nice start One. The only advice I can give you is to keep the animated gifs to a minimum as well as the size of the images you choose to use. If people can't access your site quickly they will go elsewhere. Spellcheck is also key. I can't begin to tell ya how many times people have told me I had spelling errors. I even Spelled my own name wrong and had to have a friend tell me I misspelled it.

Please tell me that the dancing gif does NOT represent the backdoor into your site.

I have started a site of my own, and will reveal it to the public in the near future. It is turning out to be one HELL of a project, so I feel for ya, dude.

On the size of the pics that should be file size rather then actual look size they can be small square or whole page as long as file size is small ie kb not pixels inches mm etc, nice work tho 'THE ONE'
also on the guest book page cant you make it accessible to view just so we can be nosy and see who else has signed??

I only use Photoshop but i'm sure other may be able to help you in this endeavor. Otherwise if you have PS the first thing you want to do is go to edit and select image size in the drop down menu. then make sure the image is no bigger then 8" high or wide. Also set the resolution at 72. After you've accomplished this go to file and select save for web from the drop down menu. this allows you to lower the quality of the image in order to bring the file size under control. Believe it or not you can drop the file size quite a bit before you notice any real degradation of the image. Once you've got the image down to a good size then just save the image. and your done. As a rule I try not to mak my images more then 30k but this is all up to you. i don't think 60k would be much of a big deal. There are actually a few images on this site around that size and no one seems to be having a problem with dload time. Remember there are still people who have dial up and you will lose visitors if it takes to long for your site to load up. Hope this helps. i know it may be a different layout on the PC but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find everything i discussed here.

i dont really have much i have photo impressions i got it free with my camera its a bit crap but i can scan with it and stuff, i found that saving it as a .gif or a jif, jig ,job somthing like that reduces the size
but i will have to work on the size of the pictures.

Try this one. It's simple to use for reducing file sizes.
