My mother in law has one...he is shy. He will hear things, and start saying them months later. He has the sound of the phone ringer down...I hate it when he does that.

Hmmm... Could we have a mascot here???

Steve the thermo-nuclear Budgie.

A little PhotoShop action, and it could work.

Love the bird. Had one myself for 13 years, while I was growing up. Finally died of old age. One of the best pets I ever had. Used to pry the bars of his cage apart so he could get out and play with me. Kept a steady diet of anything I ate. Can send you a pic if ya want. We need to set up some kind of pet-site, ala "Redeemers and their pets that pick over the remains of the victims." Got a little addition to the family today. No pics as of yet, but here is what he will grow up to look like. He's gonna be a big one. His name is Gort.

Mortis, I am a nature lover...but that is just a little bit TOO much. Quoting the website:

Quote:
This species is aggressive and has an unreliable temperament. It will make an audible hissing sound when annoyed

Now imagine waking up to a bigass hissing bird eating tarantula on your chest....

Enjoy!! 8)

LOL a hissing spider! I know all about these. I still wouldn't want one a s a pet though. Does this breed kick off the hairs too?

Yep. Evil little bugger, huh? As a matter of fact, three of mine do. Never bothered me, though. And as far as the size goes...makes it better than a watchdog for keeping unwanted guests at bay.

Note to self. Do NOT go into Mortis' house.

You have more than one of these things?!?
I know a man at my workplace. He was in Desert Storm, and a demolitions specialist. There is little that this man fears... but if he sees one little spider, he looses it. He tells of a time that he unloaded a M16 on a spider in Iraq... Glad he didn't have explosives that time...
