Model: HCF V90 56K RTAD Speakerphone PCI
STRING: AT-V90=0
This string has been reported to create more reliable connections for people that have problems connecting with V.90 speeds. This will disable V.90.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR INI STRING:
Bring up your device manager.
Open your modem properties.
Should be an advanced tab. There will be a text box labeled 'Initialization Commands.'
The last step is different for each modem.
Enter the Ini string there.
May need to reboot or disable then re-enable the device.
Might see if it makes a difference. If you encounter any problems, remove the string.
Like I said before, there are some regisrty tweaks that may help increase your speed, having to do with packet size and what not. You can probably find them at
www.pcworld.com although I don't recommend them for your average user. Always make a backup of your registy before modifing it.
Good luck man. Hope it helps.
