the Magic Redeemer is a Redeemer Arena mutator for UT2003. the current version is alpha 03, running on Schwantz's server. alpha 04 is currently in development.

wait.. Ion Cannon?! isn't that from the Tollans (Stargate SG-1)? !@#$%! they must've stolen those super weapons from the Tollans! call the Asgard, the Nox, the Tok'ra, anyone.. these thieves must be stopped!

:lol :lol :lol too many poll options!

crap, i hit the wrong button. Include it in 04!!! Then when it's out in its full glory, we can try a marketing blitz to get people to play on SRA!!!

The problem is, I think most folks prefer the old UT to the new, not because of the Redeemer mod, but because the game was pretty disappointing to the old UT folks. It lacked that certain something. I hope you do not decide to give up on the mod, as the last one was really good. I just wished the the game played more like UT, and less like Quake.

Just my humble opinion.

I agree with Jarg! UT2003 was such a disappointment to me that I've taken it off the system. I think the next "high tech" game I'll check out is DOOM III The whole thing with releasing 2003 adn now 2004 just seems like a bunch of marketing BS to me

Don't forget Half Life 2. It looks like it will be a winner.

I played through Unreal II, and it was so-so. There were a few really GREAT moments, but mostly just run and gun. I will wait until UT 2004 is released and watch the reviews before purchasing it.

And, HALO... AWESOME game, if you ask me.

I think we love UT1 for one major reason: We like to play with people whom we like, and all those people are playing UT1 RA, lol!

The graphics on UT2k3 are pretty awesome, and I bet if all of us moved en masse to SRA2K3, it would be a real blast! The maps for 2k3 all seem to be pretty huge, which makes it hard to play RA because we rely on splash damage so much. But Schwantz found some pretty good ones that are small enough to get some "Holy Shit" kills.

If you all suddenly switched to Duke Nukem, I would go out and buy the game just so I could hang out with you all.

note: this is not meant to be serious..

... I'm a bit disappointed.. 15 votes and no one wants to help the good Kamui..

should we let Kamui's twin star (the evil Kamui) and the Dragons of Earth keep on destroying all the Kekkais and then all of us?

granted, those options are meant to be jokes. most of you took this poll seriously and voted according to your preferences. since most of you prefer UT and Mahatma's real vote is for the first option instead of the second, I will hold on to the alpha 04 mutator for at least a bit longer. those of you voted for the second option (I want the alpha 04 mutator NOW!), let me know who you are and I'll see if we can arrange something.

by the way, there can be at most 10 poll options.

10 is plenty enough, N6. 20 is much more than enough for me. as it turned out, you can add as many as you want, but when you try to submit it, it won't let you if you exceed the limit. I went up to 20 initially, then cut it down to find that the limit is 10. you wondering what the other 10 would have been?

right now I'm about to go to sleep and I'm not in win 98 (where the mutator files are), and it won't be until very late Tuesday or more likely Wednesday before I can zip up the files and send it to you. I may get to play with a setting I read about a few days ago that may (or may not) fix the delayed return problem in a multi-player game. we'll see what happens..
