I was just curious as to what type of connections everyone uses. I think that the majority have broadband connections, but I am not sure. I know most of the 56 kers, but I am not sure who has cable and who has DSL. Also, if you would, let me know if you like what you are using. As everyone knows, I HATE 56 K, but it is my only option... well, I guess I could move out of the boonies...
Actually, the Adelphia cable folks have been running lines around here, and I am hoping for a cable connection.

I have cable....adelphia. They are pretty decent....but the upload speed is kinda low...I get about 132kb up....ugh. At least compared to Cox, thinks they get 250+...My friend has them in phoenix...wish I had that.

I couldn't stand going back to 56k....ugh...

I hear dsl and satellite are good, but up speeds are about the same or a little better than 56k....

to check your speed goto:

The policy on servers when I got it was that they were expressly forbidden. I don't know what they are now. I can't imagine they would still be against the rules.

And this is on a morning when I connected at 45.3... I never get a connection that good. Most times I connect at 38 to 40 Kbps.

I guess I should not complain... Considering the phone lines around here were put up in the jurassic era.
