Hotts just an idea but cant you install ut in another folder and run that one for playing on other servers ????? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
that way you wont mess up the one you use for your server :oops: :roll: :roll: :?: :?: :?:

I'm now running one deathmatch server and one team deathmatch server



see how the team deathmatch works. Both servers are still chaos driven....

I just talked to one of the guys working with Chaos for UT2003, and he stated that they are in the works on bringing the sword weapon into this version of Chaos.

right now they are working on how it will work. I can't wait to see it in action again like it was in the first UT.

Good part is that I will be keeping in touch with them and will help with the installer for dedicated server like mine.

Since the dedicated servers (free download) don't read UMODs.

There will be more to come from the Chaos team and from me.

hi IceHunter.. since you'll be in contact with the devs working on Chaos for UT2003, can you perhaps relay a question I have that's been bugging me for months?

I'm working on a Redeemer Arena mutator for UT2003, and I've run in to the following problem. when you detonate a guided redeemer in UT2003, your view will stay at that location for a while before it is switched back to your normal player view. what is the proper way to shorten that delay? I've tried moving up the RelinquishController() call to earlier in the process, but that only works in single player mode, not when running on a multi-player server.

When you say fixed, do you mean that there is an even later, greater version to the mod then what Schwantz is running now? Where is it so I can download it too please?

sorry, I was a bit unclear.

what Schwantz has now (and has been running for a few months) is alpha 03. that's the latest one outside of my computer.

what will become alpha 04 only exists on my hard drive. I'm hoping that the Chaos UT2003 team will be able to come through with a solution to the delayed-return problem. the plan is to give them some time to come up with a solution so I can include it in alpha 04. but if you really want what I have now, I can email it to you. perhaps I should run a poll to see if people rather have an alpha 04 without the delayed-return fix.

a word of warning though, is that once you have my alpha 04, you won't be able to play on Schwantz's UT2003 server since he has alpha 03. unless of course you take out the alpha 04 files and put in the alpha 03 files. 03 and 04 cannot exist in the game at the same time.

Then I will wait with the rest of us. I have to say that each time I play UT2003 I like it more and more especially the regular DM and Invasion. The sound and visuals are by far the best IMHO. Clem you are an OAK when it comes to your continuing efforts towards our sickness...ahem...our leisure time. Thank you.
