Ok folks I cleaned up the Navbar a little bit. The images had been slightly different sizes and didn't line up cleanly along the left side and it was irritating me to no end but I was just to lazy to fix it. Well being I had to add a link for the poetry page (Oh my god we have a poetry page. ) I figured I may as well get it straightened out. It looks sooooo much better now. Well at least to me it does. Maybe no one else noticed it. Anyway I was pondering eliminating that little newb image at the bottome of the navbar. What is everyone's thoughts here. Do we ditch the pic all together. Replace the pic with a text link like the rest of the navbar, or leave it be.

I will be adding to the Tips & tricks section of redeemer 101 very shortly. If any of you have something to add please do so because I may not update it for a while.

Wow I never realized just how bad the Navbar looked at 800 by 600. Not to mention the fact that you have to use a scroll bar at the bottom of the main frame to view the whole thing. Do many of you use this resolution. If so let me know. I will be fixing the Navbar so those of you running at this resolution wil be able to see al the items in the bar. I thought for sure a scoll bar would show up at least . I must have missed something. Anyway I will take some time to get all the pages that are too large to fit properly without the scroll bar. Unless of course there is only a few of you who use this resolution and don't mind the scroll bar. I know it would drive me nuts.

I guess it's a good idea to have something conspicuous for the Newbs to click on, even though that section is part of Redeemers University.

In fact, it might be good to rethink the large categories. For instance, should everything be un-nested and put in the main nav bar? The pics section is comprised of screen caps AND the art, and both are on the nav bar. Should the University be splayed out onto the nav bar as Bios, Yearbook, and 101?

I guess I'm a loser too, because I like thinking about this stuff, lol!

DM I've gone in and fixed the navbar for ya. You should get a scroll bar now so you'll be able to view the Navbar in it's entirety. I apologize to my 800 X 600 friends out there. I hadn't realized that I didn't set that specific frame on auto scrolling. I also went in and fixed some of the pages in order to eliminate left to right scrolling for the 8x6 crowd as well. I'm sure there are plenty of pages that need to be redone but most of the main stuff looks pretty good. Let me know if you come across any pages with excessive left to right scrolling problems.

It looks like everybody is voting for number 4. Can't say I hadn't expected that.

ok max thankz for that but the scrolling never bothered me it was the fact that there was no scroll bar for the up down on the nav bar not side to side i never thought to mention this before as a few sites i go on have the same problem. The last one or so at the bottom are unavailable to me so just put up with not knowing at least in urs the pic took care of that problem

When we put the site up originally I had mentioned that it was best viewed at 1024 by 768 and assumed most people would be using a high Res. A good web designer actually makes sure that the site looks good with all browsers and in a couple different resolutions. I made the effort where the Browsers were concerned (i.e. Safari, Netscape, Mozilla, Camino and I.E.) but hadn't checked what the site would look like with different resolutions. Bad webdesigner! Bad webdesigner!

hey max the web sites great theres no need to change anything only add to what you got i only mentioned it becouse it was asked for and then the only thing i need would be the bar to scroll up and down on the links as i said i am used to sites being bigger then what i use on my screen so put feet up and have a rest as long as scroll bars are handy you have done more then a lot of 'pro' sites out there
