Gratuitous Apple plug

http://www.apple.com/powermac/

I'm not a tech guy so maybe this isn't as spectacular as I think. If it is I'm sure no one will let on. :D

Wow. And from the looks of it, they have lowered their prices to compete with the PC market. With this kind of advantage, Apple might take it over.

I'll check out Tom's Hardware and see if he has done some benchmarks and compared.

If you guys get a chance watch the keynote. I've watched many keynotes with Steve jobs but this one blew me away. You'll need quicktime and broadband.

Nice find Mah. Unfortuantely all manufacturers of all products are looking to put there product in the best light possible. I actually agree with this guy on many points and I also find myself watching these keynotes and note how Steve plays with words. I'm curios to see how the two machines would face off without these so called "Cheats".
PC company's have done the same thing though. For i nstance running quake on a mac and PC and claiming it played better on the PC. What they failed to tell everyone ofcourse is that quake was only running in classic on the mac at the time so the mac had to run two OS's as well as the game.
I just though it was interesting that they have doubled they're processor speeds within a year as well as being able to state that they will have up to a 5 ghz machine within the next 2 years. The 3Ghz machine is due next june. This I think is pretty important because it seems like Intel has sort of lost steam. Like I said before though. I'm not really a tech guy so maybe you guys would know what is going down on the PC side of the fence as far as processors go.

P.s. That dude who did that website was a PC guy no doubt.

So i'm fanatical.

Hey MAX

Very informative! I loved the gratuitus plug for Finding Nemo  .

For those that don't know, I'm a BIG TIME Disney fan and follow Disney biz closely. Steve Jobs besides being CEO of Apple is also owner and CEO of Pixar Films.

3 largest grossing animated films of all time. Toy story, Monster Inc., & Finding Nemo. All done on the Mac. :D Hey death that article pretty much sums it up. It will be interesting to see how the G5 fairs in the real world.

One thing I have been curious about is why I haven't seen Macs used in Engineering applications. I used NT workstations and Linux systems running AutoCad and Sdrc Ideas. AutoCad could damn near be run on a calculator. Ideas on the the other hand is a resource hog particulary when solid modeling is concerned. The graphics capabilities would lend well to 3d on a Mac, but yet we just don't see it used. I'm just curious.
