I was just at your server a little while ago. I was drawn in by the name of the map "Beholden, Observatory revisited". Sure enough, it's a modern revised DM-Observatory all right. Yeah I ran into her to Nameless. Hey by the way Bo you win the award for best Ping. I've never had a ping lower than 125 on any server. My ping was floating between 75 and 90. Sweet. Hey m8s....thanx for the kind words. I added about 35 new maps within the last few days (out of about 150 downloaded and tested!!), trying to add only maps that had not been run in the Deemer arenas before...what a chore. There are alot of crap maps out there...one site I was on listed about 2000 maps...wish I had the kind of time to d\l and test them all, but, well, ya know. The problem with only testing rated maps is that the kind of maps that might be suitable for Deemer action, may be considered garbage for everything else, so they get a poor rating. I tested everything that had been given at least a rating of one point...the vast majority of maps on the site I was on hadn't been rated at all (maybe no one had gotten around to them yet?). Sad part is, using this method I may have missed some really good Deemer maps, but I had to draw the line somewhere, or for the next year or so, I would have been busy selecting maps...I'll eventually get through them all...sigh...<br>If any of you youngins have a map in mind that you would like to see run, let me know...I'll take a look, and if I like what I see, I'll put 'er up...<br> Oh yeah...I acquired a bunch of free webspace, and am running my redirects from there for now...no more astronomical pings while people are downloading files now...<br> One more thing...I downloaded, and am running a prog on the game box that will restart the server when it crashes. Where were you finding these maps Bo? Nali City?<br><br>If Sphincter Boys ftp server is still running, you can find a lot of suggested maps from both Scify and I there. Including the rather hard to find DM-Forsaken. <p></p><i></i>

Yes, I too get a great Ping on Bo's site. I haven't had the chance yet to look at the new maps but it will be my pleasure to rumage around with you Nameless. I have to give my best Ping award to Kidcpari. I sit at around 60 on his server. He just got it running again. He turned up the game speed so it makes for interesting play. Jumping is funny since you go up and back down in like a 1/4 sec. hahahaha. More later. Bo i feel for you and your map efforts. Been there done that. Word of warning. Be very careful to test and put on slowly. One mistyped file for redirect and you'll be screwed. That's why i onlt use maps with one file and the file is the map itself. No more hunting for a music file or a texture file to fix the redirects. If a map bogs, I know exactly which one instantly. That's why I don't have skins or voicepacks either. Great work Bo.......have to tip my hat to ya. Got on and checked out the map selection and I have to say ya done a hell of a job. Now I need to get off my lazy butt and get mine running to. Hince the reason my server still looks like the old CG did before Herm got his redirects going.<br><br>Thanks for the ping award Herm. I usually get about the same if not less when I get on your server. Usually runs from 50-80 depending on how many ppl you have on there. When the numbers get up to more than 6 ppl or so then the ping will climb to around 100-120 which is not bad at all. Think the pings are so low due to the fact we are both using Roadrunner. I turned up the game speed for alittle change of pace. Figured it might help the dial-up group out a bit and seems to me to make the game alittle more crisp. Well, m8's...<br><br>Server was down most of the day while I frantically searched for a new webhost for redirects. I was using a place called Breezeland.com, but someone there was launching major spam attacks, and after several complaints, ICANN, the world registrar of domains yanked thier domain name. Whee!! Finally found a free host that had enough space and bandwidth for my purposes....and then they were gone...lol. Spent most of the night looking for a temporary solution, finally got the redirects uploaded somewhere else, and here we are again. The server may still be experiencing some probs, as Pimp and I were playing earlier, and the game hung...had to do a forced restart.
