Can somebody explain to me why Canadians like to say "eh" after a sentence. Is this just a rotten stereotype which was left over from the "Strange Brew" days or do you guys really say "eh". I haven't noticed any Canadian hockey players with this little quirk so I am assuming it's just a stereotype. I have noticed hockey players saying "a Boat" in place of the word "about" but then again folks in Boston say "heart" like "hat".<img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/wink.gif" /> No real reason for this post just looking to get some chatter going here. <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/tongue.gif" /> Naughtius Maximus "Brothers! WTF eh? The majority of Canadians especially when drinking Molson Canadian, eating back bacon, going to our public medical facilities, turning our guns over to the state, courtsying to the queen, watching quality french porn and wearing toques genetically have to end most sentences with "eh?". Whats with all the west coast talk? Only in CA do people say "dude" and "like" every other word.( when we say that here we a making fun of LA people.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> ) And only in California, do they think they speek for the rest of the country. Whats that all aboat? Hottie, I find it hard to believe east coast uses it the way west coast does. "Dude" is the west coast equivilent of "Aloha". It has multiple meanings. Death is only 1/2 right. People from the south may say what they mean, but they are *definitely* not refined. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/glasses.gif ALT="8)"> cf (not that there's anything wrong with that. after all, mah's been unrefined his whole life and look where that's gotten him. uh, ok, maybe that's a bad example....)
