connection failed

Go to your player settings and uncheck play as spectator. Some servers allow and some don't. CG doesn't so you can't play there as a spectator and you will get the "Connection Failed" message if you try. "ASS" is the one word that does not get you kicked at CG's CURRENTLY! As alway's this IS subject to change. Now that I think about it, I don't think you can get kicked for cussing on CG right now. I thought I turned on the cool new "TIME OUT" feature. Try it! It's sweet! LOL, let us know if this fixes anything for you. Hermskii

TheOne, are you using a 56K modem or DSL/cable? If you're using 56K, you may be getting disconnected when people ring you on that phoneline. I think in the modem setting in windows you can place the appropriate code to turn off "call waiting" so that your line doesn't beep and drop the internet connection. Could this be the problem? <SRA>/v/ahatma

mah im in south east england (kent) bt said there is np but as i keep getting connection failed i tend to disagree, they have turned the line volume up but there is nothing else i can try, i got a new laptop a couple of weeks ago and im getting a new line in, in a few weeks im going broadband so i will try to put up with it, has any one spoke to pipeimpaler he got hacked when he was on cg the other day some girl advertising sex and stuff im not to sure of the details i will let you know if i find anything new .... again thanks for the help <SRA>ThE__OnE

Hey One Interesting. There must be a setting of some sort in Windows -- are you using XP? It'll be interesting to see if this continues to happen with broadband. Do you have another 56k modem lying around? If so, throw that in your box and see if it is your hardware. PipeImpaler got hacked??? Holy cow. At least it was about sex and not someone erasing his entire harddrive, lol!!! Pipe, please post details here. I'm sure Herm would be very interested to hear this! M <SRA>/v/ahatma
