I've seen some servers that have a add-like promotion display that pops up for the first 10 seconds of every map. Usually, clans use it to advertise the clan they have. I was thinking of trying to use it to tell people about the website and the forum. That would be better than just the message of the day and I bet it would more than double the amount of people that actually dig deep enough to find us. If all of the server admins did it then we would have a buttload of newbies I bet, both here and on the servers!!! What do you think?

Yours gets the most traffic, so just starting it with CG would bring loads of people in.

It might turn into a carnival, but hey, that's what the BAN button is for. :lol:

I think it's a good idea! Might be an idea as CG still shows www.schwantz.50megs.com on the startup screen. I will be shutting down the old website as soon as I can find a spot for the ut compressed files..

Go for it. I think it is a good idea. That was the spirit of this website/forum in the first place. The more newbees we get, the better. I just submitted the website to Google. Let's see what happens :-)

OK, I added this feature on HOH but it doesn't work as described because patches made after it block part of the functionality. Please go to HOH and look at it if you get a chance. There are about 4 lines of messages that rotate through the chat box about every 20 sec.s Tell me if this is sucky or should I move it on to CG. Thanks!

There is a different mod or mutator that I was actually looking for before I found this one. The one I was looking for would put on something like a watermark at a top corner of the screen like under the chat box. The ones I've seen before had a picture of a clan's crest in it. It would stay on screen for about 15 seconds from the beginning of the map and then it would fade away. That is what I'm after actually but this should work till I or someone finds the one I'm talking about. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I checked it out. Looks good. Can you slow down the rate? every 20sec seems a little bit too often.
