There are several threads out there that effect the CG's currently. I can't keep track of all of them so I'm starting this one to consolidate the others so I onlt have to look in one place for your replies.

1st. There was mention that there were too many CG servers. I agree sort of and when they load up, they do effect each other. Here is the current break down.

CG1 "Curious George's Redeemer Insanity". Only original and bonus pack maps. Redeemer Arena Mod apllied. Originally created for newbies to get hooked on and to train before attempting to play good players at SRA1.

CG2 "Curious George's Big Experiment". Only non-stock custom maps. Redeemer Arena Mod applied. Originally created as my attempt to have a SRA1 quality type server while never sharing any of the same maps as SRA1. Just another place to play and get more players hooked.

CG3 "Curious George's DeathMatch PlayHouse". All of the same non-stock cutom maps as CG2 but no Redeemer Arena Mod applied. Originally designed to see if I could actually do it. Many of the non-stock maps are actually better suited for non-redeemer play. This is were I tried to make the regulars non-redeemer folks happy. The fast downloads were a big hit here. Message of the day refers players to SRA forum. Again trying to get more players for us blood thirsty regulars.

CG4 "House of Hermskii". All of the same non-stock maps as CG3. Redeemer Arena Mod applied. I can't remeber why I did this one other than to see if I could and with the other three, I wanted to see if I could ever serve to more than 16 people at once.

I feel like I need to turn some of these off but I want to have a newbie server, a SRA copy with different maps and a Deathmatch server. I think I'm going to rename CG2 to House of Hermskii (HOH), and toss CG4 out the door. That should do it!

2nd: I think it was Jarg who asked if I'd pull Crane off of CG1. There are two schools of thought here. One is the rugulars hate crane but the newbies feel they are safer there. Two is crane is a good maps for newbies to get some practice on while not being slaughtered by regulars. I think Crane should stay on CG1 and I ought to put all of the stock maps on CG2 or what will become HOH. Then the regulars can play all the stock maps they want without Crane being one of them and the newbs can continue learning on CG1 in the safety of the crane map. Yes, yes. This is good I think.

3rd: Mah asked to up the max connection on CG1 to 16 from 10. Done! That's for you Mah!

4th: I think it was Jarg again who mentioned how in the old days, CG1 required you to beat me to get a shot at SRA1. I used to ban the players who beat me to force them off CG1 to SRA where they could play with the big dogs. Bad idea. Actually good idea but it only partially worked. All of my servers were made to get more people hooked and send them to there deaths at SRA1 eventually. SRA1 had become hard to get to because of all of the awesome maps and voices and stuff like that. Now, Schwantz has the fast download thing going well and many players have better pings on his server than the CG's.

5th: There are several request to keep HOH2003 on until Schwantz gets SRA2 running. No problem there for me. I do want to take this server down because it does dramatically effect network usage which means lagg for the rugular CG servers. Schwantz, get that thing up quick.

That is all. If I can make your day let me know. I'm going to wait to make some of these changes till tonight or tomorrow to give everyone time to tell me what they think I should do or what they want me to do. I'm listening! Have a great day everyone.

Hermskii

Hey Herm that sound like a good idea there!! Your idea 'bout how to do a cg's 1 w/cranes and another one( what will be cg's 2) without cranes and including some custom maps sounds just awesome to me!!And about HoH 2k3 , if it's eating up too much resource or whatever and taking away from the other servers, don't worry I can live without it...LOL don't keep it up on my account!! But I would like to know how much longer till the other one is up??? So go ahead and take it down I say!! Thanks Again Herm your servers are muchly appreciated,as is your putting up with us . ..LOL
cya, Tri

I made all of the changes. Here is the new setup as posted on top thread (server addresses) of this forum:

Regular UT Servers:

Curious George's Redeemer Insanity, CG1, 66.25.24.124:7757
Unchanged

Curious George's DeathMatch PlayHouse, CG2, 66.25.24.124:7767
You should have to re-add to favorites.

House of Hermskii, HoH, 66.25.24.124:7787
Has all of CG1 maps except Crane plus a ton of custom maps. This is actually the best server I have.
You should have to re-add to favorites.

UT2003 Server:

House of Hermskii (Redeemer Arena), HoH-2003, 66.25.24.124:7747
This will be taken down soon.

That pretty much covers it. Let me know if there are any other ideas. Have a good one.

Hermskii
