Just a note to you all - a tidbit of News.
We have Updated our PirateDeemerCMM mod from version 011 to the New 012 version.
PirateDeemerCMM012

We are still tweaking and adjusting it, but it is getting pretty darn cool now. :flower:
The "Creeper" is down right Beautiful to watch now!
The "Lob" version is catching on and to some is almost irresistible to use - to me Lobbing the missile shells is really fun, rewarding and addictive - and it requires some skills to make them go where you want them to bounce and go! :bounce:
Also, the Faster Guide Speeds (adjustable) are very nice, makes guiding really worth while!
On our {CMM} server.
(A good Fast Connection also - even for those in Europe and other countries)

We also had our Redirect Fixed now, it works Great and it is Super Fast now also.

Just an FYI for those of you who play at CMM - and for those of you who don't I guess also. :cyclopsani:

{CMM} CROSSBONES MISSILE MADNESS - Heavy PRO-Redeemer Server

We are Currently running "Lob" as a secondary right-click (Alt-Fire) mode with "STINGER II" and "HOWITZER".
Each version of "Lob" is set up differently - FYI.
I am thinking about adding a Slow, delay-fused "Lob" to Creeper or other configurations for fun.
It would be like laying "Nuke" mines with the delayed explosions, I would think. hmmm COOL!

Also, the Faster Guide Speeds (adjustable) are very nice, makes guiding really worth while!
You can now have a much better chance of chasing down those tricky, fast opponents. te he

Oh, in addition to the news above -> one more thing...
Been working on yet another New Configuration for the PirateDeemerCMM012 mod - "COLOSSUS" :cyclopsani:
Colossus - usually means something Hugh or Gigantic (big) :geek:

The name comes from the word "Colossal" ...
co·los·sal | Extremely large
- a colossal amount of mail
- a colossal mistake
- a colossal Explosion
- a colossal damage amount
Etc...
(of a giant order) Having more than one story of columns
(of a statue) At least twice life size


It was pretty awesome testing it out the last few nights.
I could watch the Blast from this Beast ALL day and night - Pretty indeed! :flower:
I don't think anybody could out-run the Guided Missile from Colossus! :o
This Monster is best used in larger, more open maps, but with a good amount of places to hide - mainly from the shock waves! WOW!
You, yes You, WILL need to hide when this Beast goes off! :pirate:
Still more testing and tweaking to do now. (and FUN playing)

Colossus will be the 8th (or 9th?!?!) Configuration of PirateDeemerCMM012 available to play on {CMM} now.

The "COLOSSUS" :cyclops:
(see some description in above post)

This "puppy" (or Beast?) is becoming a fun favorite of mine, and some others too.
I MAY be liking it better than The CREEPER - verdict is still out. :scratch:
The CREEPER has its own cool features, but they aren't THAT different from The COLOSSUS's.
The Colossus has some features that make it a lot more exciting to play.

The First Rule of Playing with The Colossus...
1 - After Firing Colossus, make sure you HIDE and FAST!
The Second Rule of Playing with The Colossus...
2 - Make sure you have Close Available HIDING PLACE(s) that you can get into FAST!
The Third Rule of Playing with The Colossus...
3 - Make sure you heed the first 2 rules!!! :cheers:

If Colossus continues to do well, I MAY dump The Creeper - not sure.

Yep - {CMM} is still going STRONG and FUN! :cheers:
AND...
On our {CMM} New Age PRO-Redeemer server we have been going through the map list and, even though they are all pretty darn great maps, we have been weeding out any Lesser desirable maps.
Then, we have been adding back in maps that are possibly even better!
Also, maps that are suggested by players also are being gradually added in. :salute:

We are also thinking about simplifying the Deemer Choices - still working on IF we do this and if so, what, etc.

An UPDATE:

OK - the Changes to CMM's PirateDeemer Line Up have been implemented - Phase I was done!

ALSO, (for now) with PHASE I, the MapVote Column versions have been set up as follows ...
New (for now) Scenario ...

MapVote Column 1 =
BIG-BOOM W/Zoom + BIG-BOOM W/Guide (together in ONE game - no change) MapVote Prefix = "bbDM"

MapVote Column 2 =
STINGER II w/Zoom + STINGER II w/Lob (together in ONE game - no change) MapVote Prefix = "s2DM"
NO BOTS (NB) (1 map for Practice with ALL weapons except TIME BOMB) MapVote Prefix = "nbDM"
KABANG W/Guide (by itself in ONE game) MapVote Prefix = "kbDM"

MapVote Column 3 =
The HOWITZER w/Zoom + The HOWITZER w/Lob (together in ONE game but NO KABANG) MapVote Prefix = "hwDM"
TIME BOMB (by itself in ONE game)*(maybe add a "Guide" version?) MapVote Prefix = "tbDM"

MapVote Column 4 =
THOMPSON w/Zoom (by itself in ONE game)*(maybe add a "Guide" version?) MapVote Prefix = "thDM"
COLOSSUS W/Guide (by itself in ONE game) MapVote Prefix = "coDM"

NEW - NOTE: We Added a few KABANG maps, 7 of them, with only the KABANG version.
This KABANG is With Guide. :P
See above - In Column 2 of MapVote.
KABANG packs one of the Biggest Punches of all the "current" PirateDeemer versions.
KABANG packs a Wallop!

CMM's RadarTranslocator - Turn the Radar OFF?

I am thinking of turning OFF the Radar part of the Custom "RadarTranslocator" used on CMM.
(Yes, the radar can be turned ON or OFF, and/or the radar Range (how far out it detects targets) can also be adjusted also in our transloc)
I have been thinking about this for quite a while, in the back of my mind.

1) There have been a few requests to turn the radar part of the RadarTranslocator OFF, and also a few coments from players that they do not want or like the radar part of the translocator.
Some that do not know about its use say it is a cheat. :scratch: But of course it is Not!

Well, even disregarding all of that, I am also thinking it might be quite a bit more fun and suspenseful if the translocator radar is turned off also.
2) With the transloc radar OFF, there would be quite a few more surprise attacks on people, and also the players would need to use more of their observation skill to find out where their targets are hiding.
3) Another benefit of this would be that it will encourage more use of guiding, in the versions that have guiding of course.
This is because when using the Alt-Fire "Guiding" (right mouse button) mode, the Radar for that will still be "ON", as with the stock UT redeemer.
(AND Yes, the radar can be turned ON or OFF, and/or the radar range (how far out it detects targets) can also be adjusted also in our Guide mode)
Note: The guide mode radar in our PirateDeemerCMM012 mod also tells you if the target blip is a bot or a real human player.
Bots show up as RED distance numbers under the cross-hairs, and Real Players show up as WHITE distance numbers under the cross-hairs.
So you can see that a player would get an added benefit or reward when he guides the missile, thus encouraging guiding more. :salute:

These are just 2 benefits of having No Radar on when using the transloc - there MAY even be more benefits I haven't thought of.
So, in conclusion, I think we will try this for a while and see how players like it - or not. :cyclopsani:

Just an FYI...
I took delivery on a New PirateDeemerCMM (now version 013 - was old version 012)
I am still trying it out and doing some testing.
When it is all done, we will roll it out. :faroah:

The best thing about this new one is the file size - it has been reduced by 2/3 of what it was before. :P
When we are running 12 of these deemers on CMM, that means a LOT! :geek:
Each configuration will be about 2MB less in file size, so that will work out to about 24MB less to download by new players when we get it all set up.
That will certainly make it a lot more friendly to New Players downloading the server files at CMM for the first time, which has been a problem with new players giving up part way through the downloading.

Well, the New PirateDeemerCMM013 is certainly a success! :faroah:

Also, we have ADDED a New Redeemer mod to our CMM server! - Yep!
The Missile Mania or more precisely The RedeemerMania mod.

This Missile Mania or RedeemerMania mod is the Newest and Latest of its genre of Redeemers.
I called it "RedeemerMania SEEKER-Deemer{CMM}" for our CMM server's install.
(the mod also comes along with "RedeemerMania Sniper-Deemer" and also "RedeemerMania goDeemer" that may not be added to CMM - as we do not need them)

FYI - We are still tweaking this added redeemer mod in the 4th column of MapVote - to be aware.
The RedeemerMania SEEKER-Deemer{CMM} has come back full circle to its place of Birth and Origin -> at CMM!

The new SEEKER-Deemer{CMM} mod does pretty much as its name implies.
It Seeks out targets that you lock onto when you acquire a Target centered in the cross-hairs and you fire the missile while the Target is still centered in the cross-hairs.

For now, RedeemerMania SEEKER-Deemer{CMM} is Now Added and is currently on trial in Column 4 of MapVote on our {CMM} server, on about 7 maps so far!
Map Prefix "SeekDM"

So, if you currently enjoy playing any Old versions of Seeker-Deemer or Sniper-Deemer on "other" servers that crash a lot and have high, laggy pings, you do not need to put up with that crap anymore - you can now enjoy the NEWEST Version, The RedeemerMania SEEKER-Deemer{CMM}, Now on Our Very Own FAST {CMM} Server that has GREAT LOW Pings and virtually NO crashes!
Of course we also have more advanced Sniper-Deemers and also other more advanced types of redeemers too!

The RedeemerMania SEEKER-Redeemer{CMM} is Still in Column 4 of MapVote on our {CMM} server, onmany more maps now!
Map Prefix "SeekDM"
It will be definitely be kept on as a permanent addition to our fine assortment of PRO-Redeemers.
SEEKER-Redeemer{CMM} is becoming almost as popular as some of our PirateDeemerCMM versions - and THAT is saying a lot! :faroah:

The little known "Time Bomb" version is very fun also - many think. :cherry:

This new one "014" should just about prove to be the End-All of redeemer development. :salute:
