Hey folks!! Just curious about 2k3 schwantz site; is this still gonna happen ? ,or is the House of Hermskii gonna be the server for serving up some " radiation Poisoning"??<br>Also is there gonna be any more maps added to the line up?,<br>especially would like to see some of the larger maps thats out there to play on.The only thing wrong about the Redeemer on 2k3 is tryin to use alt- fire mode when "guiding" it.. it would be nice to have some larger maps to get the needed " elbow " room to turn the missle and guide it... for exam.Tokara Forest,antalus...that size or something close .<br>thanks,Tri<br> <p></p><i></i>

I was over at Nali City yesterday, and saw that there are many user made maps available for the new game already. I downloaded one, but I'm not sure if it will run in the old game. Likewise I'm not sure if old UT maps will run in UT 2k3. Going by something I read; I think the way the maps are constructed has been changed signifigantly. So I'm not sure about compatability.<br> <p></p><i></i>

you will not be able to run the new maps with old UT, nor will you be able to run the old maps on ut2k3 (although I have not tried it myself). they are totally separate games ... however, many maps from UT(classic) are being ported or redone for ut2k3. deck16 is one of those ... lots and lots of tries at moving this map over to the new game. <p></p><i></i>

Hey Salmo!! Have ya tried any of those" little people" maps that make's for a large enough arena to turn those big ,slow moving missles when guiding them?I have tried it in some sorta " kitchen" map...well, ( in case I got hungry!).<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :lol --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> , and it seems to make all the difference in playing like" old times" redeemer arena!! give one a shot and see what you think,and post it on here,getting antsy<br>and wanna play some !!I hope it won't be to much longer<br>until SRA-2k3!!<br>cya later,Tri <p></p><i></i>

Some big maps that is. I put them on the HoH UT2003 server just now. There are only 3 or so I like so far but I haven't been able to play the 10 or so maps I added. Schwantz is gone for about a month so I will try to cater to the 2003 server needs. The fix he needs for his server comes out in the 2186 patch. I read about it tonight at nali city where I got the maps. I must have every bathroom, bedroom, morgue, backyard, poolroom map they have. I haven't put them all on yet and I haven't set up the fast download either. I don't know how on UT2003 but I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner or later. Is there a MapVote for UT2003 yet? Was on the server yesterday, and it was fun as hell!<br><br>I love the way the new redeemer launches. Guiding the missile really sucks though! herm,<br>yes there is mapvote mod/mutators for 2k3 already -- they're running on almost all the instagib servers i play on ... so they're out there. probably any one of the ut2k3 file sites will have them (i use: <!--EZCODE AUTOLINK START--><a href="http://www.ut2k3.net/">www.ut2k3.net/</a><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK END--> and <!--EZCODE AUTOLINK START--><a href="http://www.ut2003hq.com/">www.ut2003hq.com/</a><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK END--> a lot and both seem fine ... one even has a bunch of deck and deck16 maps too). here's a link to one map vote .... not sure if this is the version most common to my insta servers though, but probably worth a try.<br><br><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK START--><a href="http://www.ut2003hq.com/pafiledb/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1297">www.ut2003hq.com/pafiledb...le&id=1297</a><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK END--><br><br><br>trigon, no i've not yet played 'deemer on any of the little people maps ... but i imagine you're right that the wide open space of them would make the guiding a lot more like UT1. <br><br>if people are dissatisfied with the guiding, it is quite possible that the flight/guiding properties of the missile can be altered to make it more like UT1. but that would likely be a mod and require some more advanced coding ... my guess is that it's not likely to happen unless there is someone out there who loves RA in UT and is a competant uscript coder as well. the only other real issue is the default 2 second spawn protection in ut2k3 ... this, if i'm not mistaken, can be altered on server side with some setting ... but i'm forgetting how to do that (i know i ran across a thread on it somewhere and that it is in fact possible to turn the spawn protection off -- the instagib ladder i play on was running a poll about removing it for competition, so it MUST be possible to turn it off or reduce it). i'll look around and see if i can't figure out how to do that in case it changes the game (as you all know and love it) too much ... although, personally, i kinda like spawning and having a deemer detonate right next to me and i go flying around bouncing off walls and stuff ...
