Hi All

After playing one of the groups listed servers I'm again bringing up the subject of AimBots. Mind you now, not to whine about them, but I'm amazed that people just don't recognize one when they see one. Things like 180 Head Shots, multiple enemy confusion ( the bigest give away ).
So for any who are interested in checking out Aimbots for themselves just to see how they work and learn the "tell Tail" signs of a aimbots I found a link to the most popular ones out now. This site provides both the bots themselves and the hacked protection files that allow them to run on protected servers.

http://unrealsystems.tripod.com/

This is provided for learning reasons only 8-)

For the Admins of this board, Please leave this up JUST long enough for the members to check out then delete it. Thank You

Just a follow up. The BEST protection is to be able to identify one when it's being used and kicking the users. This whole issue is more of a war between the folks writing the bots and the folks writing the protection. As soon as a new protection system comes out a new work around is written. It's a real circle jurk. The BEST protection is vigilance.

Just found this Vid of a aimbot in action.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz-xXs6O ... ed&search=

Note the FAST 180 turns ALL THE TIME. The vid also shows the "Radar" function of aimbots. This Jerky behavior is the biggest give away of a aimboter.

AGAIN!!! Aimbots are LAME ! People that don't know one when they see one are even lamer. People with 7ms reaction time don't exist in the real world 8-)

Thanks for the video link Mickey.

I had trouble following the action, and seeing the fast frags, but the radar function was interesting to see.

I suppose that one time I saw someone for sure using a wall hack at CG; he was actually using an aimbot to track us.

Ya, if the server allows spectators. But it's easy enough to see if the server is fairly full. Radar is common and the funniest thing you'll ever see is about 6 people rushing a aimboter at the same time and watching him/her jerk around like they were having a fit LOL

Remember when we used to do that on deadsuns missile madness or get one person to sit close while another stays further away and snipes them while they wait for the closer one to come out..

and if you run utdc you can take a screen shot of everyplayer on the server and see the game from there prospective I.e see what they see on screen so if there using radar you see it..

I ran a anticheat a long time ago for a short while but in the end decided that their weren't any cheats that gave anyone a real advantage on either of my types of servers so I removed it. That anti cheat stuff is way hard to keep up with too and I just don't have the time. I haven't heard of cheaters being on my servers in a very long time too. Did I miss something?
