I received an email today from bestbuy today stating my order shipped via fedex. An order that cost roughly $1700.00. An order that I actually didn't make. First thought is oh shit someone got my credit card. Then I noticed the fedex tracking number that came with it didn't work on the fedex site. Next I tried checking the order number at best buy. Also no good. Another strange thing about thew email is that it had a zip file attached to it.
Well even though I had a pretty goo idea of what I had I called Bestbuy to confirm it. Yes indeed it's a virus and they are in the process of attempting to track down where it has opriginated from. If you get an email from
customercare@bestbuy.com about an order you made I'd avoid the temptation to open the attachment.
Here is the actual email. Minus the attachment obviously.
