So, with the new setup, I have installed a DVD burner. Can anyone recommend a good program that I can use to make "backups" of my personal DVDs? The burner came with Nero.

The one posted at the top will... remove the encryption on DVDs making them available to be "backed up".

In my experience, +R is better. The media is a little cheaper as well.
BUT this depends on where you would be playing your DVDs.

DVD-R is compatable with more DVD players. If your player is new, then it should be able to play anything.

You need de-cryptors & rippers. Some ripper have built in decryption but does not always do enough.

It is legal to back up copies of movies you own.

It is illegal to crack the encryption to do so. Weird yes?

For the casy lables size the images to 7.25" x 10.8" and print up on legal sized paper (heavier stock the better).

If you need anymore info let me know. I've heard all sorts of rumors about this sorta thing, who knows some of it might be true.

I looked around and came up with these links. I have not tried them. If you do, make sure you scan them for cooties. Also it should be noted that these types of links are only good for a limited amount of time, so if they are still active, who knows for how long.
