Okay, cool. I am glad that you have it up and running. I was feeling pretty crappy about the whole thing.
I hope that it does very well for you.

Nothing to feel crappy about. I was pointed in the direction of a great deal, and I took it. The advice was good, the product was good, but the employees were wankers.

:director: Ok I just read this thread for shits and giggles and I have to say that I knew you were into some strange shat but I didn't think Masocism was one of them Mort. :geek:

I know any chance of me persuading any of you folks to switch to Mac is futile but I can't help to think that I'm watching a bad "B" horror movie whenever I read these types of PC related threads. You know the ones where a woman hears some sinister noise in the basement yet is compelled to go investigate rather than running her ass out of the house and to a neighbors home to call the police. Similar in the way that you guys keep going out and buy Windows machines knowing that right around the corner your gonna get knifed in the back. BUT YOU STILL DO IT!

Mort the system does look cool and I wish you the best of luck with it but it is still running windows and that alone is an obstacle to an enjoyable computer experience.

Once again stepping down off my soapbox.

If first computer I use Was Mac. I think I stick PC.Unlike some woman. I heard Noise on school roof Last Friday night and went
investigate . I could barely see two kids and i want make sure It was kids Before call 911 . Time police got there they was gone and found they throw something off roof . Police ask me what they look like. I keep tell them it was to dark.I finale to show them How I saw them. They agree it was to dark and found Sealite dish was spray painted .I called Princlble of school. Princlble came to school at 9 pm ant night and we went roof climbing .It was three of us check roof to see what esle was done . Found this spray paint Side Of wall, Heatting Unit on roof ,spray paint Other side of wall .

Okay Mortis. I looked at the case online and it is a bit small. THis may be contributing to your temps getting high.
Where are the cooling fans located? How many do you have?

As a test to see if it is temp that is giving you an issue, go ahead and take the side off. If you have a house fan then point it at the innards and see how it runs then.

I would think that Cyberpower did a decent job with the wiring. Did they? Is there a birds nest in the thing or is it clean?

Heating may be easy to fix. There may not be enough cool air getting in to the case. Check to see which fans are innies and which are exhaust.

Let me know.

3 fans total. One on the cpu (where it says Aspire).
One exhaust on the inside top (blowing up/out...above the Aspire vent, but not seen in picture...it's right above the extra power cables).
One exhaust on the inside back (blowing out, to the left of Aspire vent).

Wiring looks decent. Anything I did kept things to a reasonable clutter.

Case not boxed in. There is alot of good air flow.

Temperature readouts (in the range of) as follows:
HDD: 38 to 39C (about 103F)
VGA: 42 to 43C (about 117F)
CPU: 55 to 56C (about 134F)

Okay. This pic says a lot. The inside is cluttered. The exhaust fan at the top is blocked by the power supply cables. The ribbon cables also stop airflow some as well.
My suggestion to you is to get a little bag of cable ties and see if you can make more room in the case for airflow. If possible, replace the ribbon cables with rounded IDE cables to further promote airflow.
If possible, I would suggest getting one more 80 mm fan for the front of the case. This will blow cool air across the hard drives.

I think that this is workable, but the picture shows me that this case is fairly small. The smaller the case, the tougher it is to keep it cool.

Good luck.

Mortis is using the onboard sound on the motherboard I would assume.
