You are most welcome! Actually, Scify did all of the work herself. I was wrong on most of my guesses as to what was wrong.
And Lepoloo, No problem. I have found that registry clutter is the most common problem with Windows computers. I try and keep mine clean as a whistle.

Yes, thank you Jarg. I've used other registry cleaners before, but only as part of larger programs that do other stuff. ie. CrapCleaner is a good program, but is so powerful that you must be careful what you tell it to do.
This one is a nice handy little program that does only the one thing, and does it well. You just leave it on all the default settings and run it, and it does its thing without you having to worry. Sweet.

Scify, I take it that all is now well with your PC? :computer:

I would think that it is the trojan on your computer that is to blame.
Were you able get rid of it?

That sounds like the firewall in the router is messed up, or the router has gone bad.
On the back of the router, there should be a reset button somewhere. It is one of those little pinhole buttons where you need a pencil or something to push it. If you still have it plugged in to the wall socket for electricity, then power up the router and push that little button. The lights on the router should go off and come back on. This action will reset the router to factory condition.
You will have to set up your stuff on the router again after you do this.
