Clan DOU has a teamspeak server. I have hooked up the old headset and decided to join in the fun.
Lepoloo is a very nice guy. He gave me some French lessons. Well... mainly curse words... but hey! that is what I wanna know anyways!
By the way, Lepoloo's English is excellent! Think Peter Sellers Jacques Clouseau, and you would be pretty close.

I am also proud to say that I have conversed with Darkmatter as well. we just did not have time to carry on a proper conversation. No doubt that we will in the future.

I surely think it would be fun to have a teamspeak channel to play deemer on CG !!! We already have on DOU redeemer server.

The thing is that in sniper gaming, we have more calm to have some words exchanged but I don't know if it could be that comfortable to talk while playing deemer ! (only in Meat's style maps : while guiding)

But I think that some other guys could be quite hysterical on temspeak !

Schwantz used something like that a long time ago. I talked to Schwantz and Torp. I think I also heard Taykia, but can't remember. Very weird.

Teamspeak is a pretty darn cool program and to be able to do VoIP for free is wonderful. I've used the program alot over the past year playing various games and have even run a TS server to boot. I have one set up but never turn it on till I need it. Shockingly it doesn't take much to run a TS server system resource wise so I've been able to run my UT server, TS server and a TS client with 5-7 ppl connected to the UT server and 3-5 on my TS server at the same time (those numbers just happen to be the most I had seen on both servers at the same time) on a Win machine with only 128 meg of RAM. Killer app if you have a headset and mic.

Kid, There is usually someone on the DOU TS server all the time. I usually get on and play at around 5:30 your time. I will not be able to play much this week due to my training classes.

After 15 years, I have homework again... I am in a class with mostly fresh outta college recruits. I feel like a old man :(

After my {FAH} Clansman set me up with Teamspeak I figured I'd give it a go on the DOU sniper server. Got to chat with Tommy and a couple other guys. They shotme to pieces but a good group of folks nonetheless. Jarg let me know when you play and I'll see if I can pop in.

I think it will be really interesting to talk to you on something other than typed electronic text.
About the DOU being a nice bunch of folks, No doubt about it.
I was kinda anti-clan for YEARS because it seemed that people in a clan felt that they were better than a player not in a clan.
This disturbed me, as I really HATE elitist attitudes.
These folks are ALL very respectful. Not once has any of them made one comment about how bad I am at the sniper. They encourage me to get better, and in doing so, have earned my respect.
When we had the tourney, I went to CG to try to recruit as many there as I could to join the tourney. A person from another clan was there, and promptly started saying that the DOU clan sucked and that they were a bunch of loosers.
THIS is why I did not want to be a part of another clan. Needless to say, I invited everyone BUT this guy. I told him to just stay on CG.
I am learning a lot about the power of positive thinking this week. I am becoming a believer. Heck, I may even try to get another tourney up and going again. Trying and failing is infinately better than not trying at all.
