Anybody happen to see my Longhorns take the championship last night? Oh waht a game. I haven't been that hyped up in years. Baseball good, Football better. BOXING best!

T for Texas baby !!!
I grew up in Houston and spent two years at Cougar High(U of H)
but I always wanted to go to University of Texas.(but something about my grades kept me out...lol)
But still, being from Texas it made me proud to see them win. A little nervous at times but proud. And that is the thing about college sports...most, if not all the athletes are from that state. 23 of the 24 starters for Texas grew up in Texas. So they are playing or representing their state and the people from that state in a way. Not like professional sports where the teams are made up of players from wherever. It's just hard for me to rot for a Houston team when not one player is from Texas. And you know the players are not there to play for you, your city or your state...they are just going to where the money is.
Ah, maybe someone else has opinion on this but I will still stick to my guns.

You don't get the problem with representation/location with bowling.
