I dug up my original list of what I determined to be good Multi-File maps and installed all 38 of them to CG last night. I then got real cute and pulled the entire original list of maps that have been cycling on the server for the last 2-3 years out and stored them seperately. Now I can flip between the sets with out to much trouble meaning it takes about an hour to do.

I expected to wake up and find the server stuck on a bad file or something but it seems to be working OK so far. Some of these maps are reallly great and should bring back many good memories to many. I'm still nervous about getting them mixed up with my single file map collection but if I do, I can always start over.

If you know of a must have map, send it to me. Your thoughts?

So far I got 2 files that wouldn't download.

A lot of these maps blow chunks, Herm. Add the previous set back into the mix, and then up the cycle to 30. They'll still get played.

$.02, American.

PS: When you weatherstrip an old wood door that is a little warped, how do you deal with the bigger gaps?

What files wouldn't load? What was the error?

Bathroom mirror consistantly makes my UT blow up.

Most of the maps are dull.

Herm, sorry I can't remember what files they were.

But for the love of god, please add the old maps back into the pool. We are suffering here ... These maps are all DonDon maps!

Mah

PS: I've got the newbie Homo[c]id3r riled up. He told me this evening that he sodomized my father, lol. Insults like that are, well, self-defeating.

Edit: PPS: Sci, yeah, I think it is slight warping. The doors did sag a bit toward the center, and I used longer deck screws in the hinges, which is supposed to be better for security as well ... Thx!

I disagree! There are lots of good maps in that pack. Schwantz ran quite a few of them.

I agree with NE but as we must think about every people (something like democracy... lol) I'm ok for the whole old and new packs (If the server can recieve them ?).
Just my opinion !
Example : Yesterday evening BK was crying about his favs...

You know Herm, people don't want to suck in some map if they're good in others... That's what's called a challenge I think.
It's the name used here in my country !!! LOL
Kidding !!!
But I think there is a small part of that thing (the insurance to be first is to play the map you think you're the best in... Except for Mah, DI and that kind of players that win anything !!! LOL)

Ok true true -- some great oldies that brought me back to Schwantz's arena, such as Deck 17 (the original, and not revised to fix the bugs that cause suiciding), and GrooveBox. But there are some ginormous maps on there that take a minimum of 18 minutes to complete, if at all. Like that one huge castle.

My request was simply to add the old maps back. The new folks can still choose these big ones if they want. :cyclopsani:

Sup Yall,

My only gripe with the new map packs is they are too long. I usually only have short bursts of time to play. I hate not being able to finish a match.

My 2 cents.

Yes, GrooveBox is awesome!

Please add in the old ones and maybe shorten the cycle for blocking ...

I added the old ones back and so the should be a near total of about 200 maps now. What was the part about shortening the cycle for blocking? You mean the map repeat limit list? I think it is at 20 where we decided to put it. It was at 60.

Yup. repeat limit ....

20 means every 20 games - right?
