Interesting you should say that, Fah. In the current edition of Maximum PC, there is an editorial that basically states that Apples, OS X is being made ready for....... your average PC!

That is a MONSTER plan for Apple. If people could run OS X on PCs, then Gates may have something to worry about. I am pretty sure that a LOT of people would be happy to remove Windows if given the opportunity, and if Linux were not so difficult. This may be the answer that Apple is looking for. Profits will soar, and Jobs would have the last laugh.

Something to think about

The Amiga Operating System

The AmigaOS claims lineage back to the Commodore and Gateway computers. It has been characterized as “the best operating system ever developed”. The AmigaOS was designed from its inception as a true multi-threaded, multi-media operating system. Over the years this Classic Operating System has been updated through versions 3.1, 3.5, 3.9 to today's 4.0. AmigaOS 4.0 supports the AmigaOne desktop computer and Cyberstorm PPC devices.

To hell with both those O/S's. The Amiga O/S is still the best! :wav:

Don't care what box it's running on to be honest with you as long as the rest of the world gets a chance to realize what a lump of $!@% gates has been selling them for years. (Actually most folks acquire illegal copies of his OS so perhaps that's why he doesn't spend anytime making it worth while).

Yeah I don't think you'll see that coming down the pipe any time soon but then again I never thought I'd see an intel chip in a Mac either.

Imagine being able to order a Dell for instance, and have your choice of either Windows or OSX for your O/S. Cool! Bring it on Steve! :glasses1:

Like I said I didn't think I'd see an Intel chip in a MAc. What the heck do I know. I hope it's all true because I really do feel bad for you guys. Well sometimes.

I thought this quote was pretty good. "The PC isn’t the problem. Windows is the problem."

The only thing I like about Windoze is the context menu you get with a right mouse click. I haven't looked at Mac's for a long, long time. Can you bring up a context menu in OSX?

Yes, but you'd have to buy a 3 button mouse or hold the Alt key while clicking on a single button mouse.
