One word... WOW! 8)

Finally, George Lucas has recaptured the spirit of the original trilogy in this film. Of course we know how it ends. That is why we watch it.
After this film was over, I had a feeling of sadness in me. I actually cared about the characters this time around, and was moved by the ending. I will not give away anything for those that have not seen it, but I can say without a doubt, this movie is for us... Not the kiddies, but the original fans of Star Wars. I will be seeing this one several times. It is just that good.

One warning, this is NOT intended for small children. The PG-13 is earned in this one. Be warned.

I give this movie ***** 5 stars. I do not give many movies that rating, but I REALLY enjoyed myself here. To put it into perspective, I give Episode I a ** 2 star rating and Episode II **1/2 2 and a half stars. Did not care about any of the characters in those.

Finally, a Star Wars movie worthy of the name!

Please post your reviews too. I am interested to see how you thought the movie was :D

Gave you my review months ago, but nobody paid any attention.
Yes, I enjoyed it (all 5 times). Yes, I wore my lightsaber. Yes, I loved Lucas' homage to 'Frankenstein.' Pissed about some of the stuff that they ended up cutting from the final print (probably will show up on the DVD).

Final Score: **** of 5 (You can NEVER top The Empire Strikes Back)

PS (For Sci): The Sci-Fi Channel will have the world premiere of the second season of BSG on July 15th with 20 new episodes.

I did pay attention, just wanted to see the movie. The script is good, but the acting and visuals are a big part of the movie too.
I think that it is right up there with Empire, and maybe a little better in certain spots. I got the same feeling with this one that I did in Empire. What earned it's 5 stars from me was the acting. The other two in this series had HORRIBLE acting. This one was WAY better.
I too, enjoyed the Frankenstein part that you refer to. Can't say more without spoilers, so I will just keep quiet here.

Well I still won't be ending my boycott of movie theatres, but I think I'll pick it up on DVD when it comes out.

Maybe even the whole series! 8)

Home theatre is the way to go, although those systems sound way too noisey in the demo rooms at places like Best Buy. I'd be turning down the bass for sure.

After we'd finished watching The Empire Strikes Back at the theatre all those years ago, my brother asked me how I liked the film. He seemed surpised by my answer that I thought it was far too noisey.

Nice review. About the only thing I'd add is that the FX were spectacular. The best by far of the six!

Would that Lucas had developed the technology used for this film 28 years ago, can you imagine what the effects would have looked like. Two words: Hoth Battle!

Alright, I finally got to see it. I'll give it 4 of 5 stars. I liked it but I would have done the movie different myself. It is certainly still a must see to any Star Wars fan. I'd rate it as the 2nd or 3rd best out of all of the 6 movies made.

Hey yall,

Got to do it. Have not seen the latest yet, hope to this weekend, BUT rate your favorite Star Wars 1 thru 6.

This should be fun (rubbing hands together gleefully)!
