nice! I have an older friend at work who had pressure on his retina...destoying the nerve. They say its 90% gone....

He had surgury to relieve the pressure, but has to do check ups to make sure it doesn't start again. Has a hole in his eye...so the pressure releases...has to put eye drops in all the time to keep it from closing.

He was really scared at the prospect of going blind in the eye...you could tell...but he is 69 and a real strong soul. He is ok for now.

I wonder if insurance would cover this procedure?

Test your self

Macular Degeneration Self-Test (Amsler Grid) The leading cause of blindness in old folks (AREDS) Age Related Eye Disease. Don't be fooled though. You look for something like this in your mid 70's but I know for a fact if your one of the truly unlucky ones it can come on in your 40's.

What you should see is a perfect grid

If you see something more like this seek treatment today. not tomorrow or next week, TODAY!!! The wet form is very fast but can be converted to the dry form easily. The dry form can be slowed down with a special vitamin cocktail. Neither can be reversed.

This is the leading cause of depression amongst the elderly.

Good your O.K. then. One indicator is there was nothing depressing in what you saw.
