I hadn't heard of those. But I don't pay much attention to anything I can't use hunting. I'm kinda getting away from the modern stuff. It's a whole different experience deer hunting with a muzzle loader.

One of my brothers is a collector of historic arms. I've had opprotunities to shoot some pretty neat stuff over the years.
One of my favorites was a Springfield Armory Civil War Rifle. I was able to hit a 9 inch target at 200 yards. Wonderful gun.

When you consider the age, the tools and technology available at that time, it is mind boggling that that type of accuracy was achieved. But that’s all coming from a guy that is impressed with someone coming up with the idea and following through with the creation of the light bulb, and even more impressed with all that goes into one what we can purchase them for (thank you mass production).

I must admit that knowing the state legislature way back when had outlawed Ninja weapons (blow guns, throwing stars, nunchuckus, etc.) I don’t really feel all that much safer on the streets of California. Thou I can not remember the last time there was a drive by blow gunning there must have been many, or not. Oh yeah cant get pee shooters here because they are classified as a “Blow Gun”. It’s that crazed prick waling down the street with the shovel that scares me not the guy with a blow gun or martial arts student with a set of nunchuckus.

Thank God I'm protected from all of that and I can still legally buy a Remington Double Deringer, .41 off the internet through the mail.

Cant see what any of you are moaning about cant buy any thing bigger then a .22 .25 .177 air rifle/pistol here  even then it has to be kept under 12 f lbs muzzle volocity or you need a shotgun licence to own one lol (the shotgun you can only own if ur a farmer or have some other good reasonable use for one)

Peeshooter dont get cought with an empty biro then 8) ahhhh school fun

I feel your pain Darky.

I recommend changing the meaning of "farmer" or "any other word" so that you too may be armed and dangerous to anyone that dares intrude upon your property. That’s how most laws are changed here now days. If the people don't want it the Supreme Court changes the meaning of a few words and then "THRUST" it upon us (emphases on "thrust, thrust, thrust"). That way the Judicial Branch of Government can play at being the Legislative Branch too. I would imagine that the firearm laws are as strict or stricter on the emerald isle and the IRA does not seem to have any trouble acquiring arms & destructive devices. Oops forgot the laws only work on the law abiding.

You may want to juice the check valves of those pellets up with something nasty to help level the playing feild.

Ciao, Skank

I'm not sure if you need the Purchaser card for antiques or even reproduction Muzzle loaders here but I figured why chance it. No use going to jail over something as petty as having a 140 year old rifle in your house. Like I said this state is ridiculous. I believe they are now trying to ban everything over .30 cal., including all muzzle loaders. Can you picture a bank robbery or a drive by with an almost 5 foot long muzzle loader.

I'm actually looking to purchase an M-1 Garand so I would need the card anyway.

I find it amazing that states Like California and New Jersey have these ridiculous gun laws and yet they walk around in texas with their firearms on there hip without any issues.
