were you going for the pure spelling there or just "dark*" in generel as darky was neither of the 2 words on that site and spelling can make a difference and your getting a little bent too as neither lotus or i come from the usa you gotta give on that count.

I didn't get bent DM. I know you and lotus are not Americans but as some of you may know I am a bit of a Civil War buff so when he called you darky (yes I know it was spelled darkie in the song) I had to giggle a bit.

Speaking of which did you ever check out that auction with the antique arms, civil war (war of the states) and the revolutionary war I sent you?

Sure did. Wish I had the money. I also need to get my purchaser card. It's needed here in Jersey in order to buy rifles. Apparently the politicians in this fine state (a.k.a. the Armpit of America) have never heard of the 2nd amendment.

Doesn't sound like a place I'd want to be since I have an assortment of firearms.
A local radio show here in Wisconsin made mention (if my memory is correct) that there is a law in New Jersey that requires all gas stations to be full service and that it is a crime to pump your own gas. It was a while ago I heard this so I might be remembering wrong.

Indiana had a regiment in the Iron Brigade too. I want to say it was the 24th but I cannot be sure.
There is a monument to them down the road in Fond du Lac. I'll take some pics next time I get down that way and send them to you.

I need to brush up on that subject. I didn't even know about the Battery.

Such a tragedy they were pretty much wiped out at Gettysburg.
But they got their job done and set Lee up for his greatest mistake.

It has always amazed me that there is a mentality out there which believes that by making it illegal for a law-abiding citizen to own a firearm, they are keeping citizens safe. That will only work if criminals are willing to follow that very same law.

I'm wondering if this law was passed because of paranoia over Smith & Wesson's .500 Magnum?

I'm pretty sure it was all about the BARRETT 50 cal. rifles.
