Where did you download the episodes? I would like to get my hands on previous episodes or possibly past episodes of Stargate SG-1.

P2P is Person to Person file sharing software. There are many different programs for this and many different levels of exposure for trouble. Where you can get in trouble is sharing, if you are downloading via a torrent you are in essence sharing at the same time. Many people wont share (let you download) unless you share. Set up a share folder with "NO COPYRIGHTED MATERIALS" I have copys of The Bill of Rights, The U.S. Constitution, King James, etc., all stuff I can not get in trouble for sharing.
I download into a non-shared folder. Just incase the download ends up being copyrighted I haven't shared it.
I've been looking into ways of masking / changing the IP address to add some level of anonymity to this process. The best shot was "Earth Station 5" but it has closed :-( the 2nd best shot would be a small bouncer program on a public server (school, library, etc). With half a dozen users or so, it would be virtually impossible to tie back to any user.

Want to know more? Let me know

I used P2P. but as Skank said, if you use P2P, you open yourself upto an array of problems. be careful what you download, might have a virus....and be very very selective about what you decide to share, and most people won't share if you arn't sharing. I share all of my southpark...which are very abundant for download anyway....

Soooo, you do not want to download a copy of... say... Microsoft Office??? Ummm.... Damn...

It's really nice though

Skank, Bigi, do you have any knowledge of this site?
http://www.novatina.com/

Not that you or I would EVER think of using it, but if you know about it, is it legit?

And Scify... I HEAR that Azureus and BitComet are pretty decent programs to use in P2P. BitComet is easier to use, though both are not difficult... so I've been told...

When Adama opened the door to the shuttle he should have announced "Loose Cannon on deck!"
And I thought Tigh had enough problems. That poor bugger!

Okay. I decided to download the episodes to see how they were. I LOVE THEM! I am hooked to this series now. I personally think that it is well acted, and the story has enough twist and turns to keep me interested. I have not watched the third, fourth, and fifth episodes from this season yet, but I will do so tonight.

Just wondering, since these can be downloaded, and since they are TV series, can we get sued for downloading them... If so, can they also sue for Tivo and VCR recordings??

Anyone can sue for anything. Winning is another story. I doubt they would have a problem with a fan doing a Tivo or VCR recording. They probably would frown upon downloading digital copies as they are so easily shared and as you are aware with the poularity of the show it is bound to be made avalible in a DVD format (if not already).

I would probably opt for buying the entire series on DVD out of China. There are very good deals to be had.

I really like Babylon 5. I could get all 5 seasons on 32 DVD's delivered for $70.

They got tons o'stuff :albino: So the might have BSG too.

Enjoy, Skank
