And a Cadillac is just a jumped up version of a Chevy and a CD is just a jumped up version of an 8-track and a supermodel is just a jumped up wife/girlfriend and....................... the list goes on and on. Give me the jumped up version everytime except the CD of the 8-track, I like the "K-Chunk" at the track shifts.

I'm using Firefox most of the time now. One thing it doesn't do very well here is refresh the page. Every time I look at a thread it remains marked "unread" after I go back to the list. The way the cursor works sucks too. Minor annoyances though.

More important are the security holes that have been found in v1.0 It has now been upgraded to v1.01 You can get the update at the Mozillla website.

Hey all,

Not to sound ignorant (and probably will) did not know you could run UT on a MAC. Is this native?

I don't use IE except when I have to. Mainly at work for some app that require Active-X. Other than that I live in Firefox.

Hey FAHQ tell me what you really think of PCs <G>.

I use a HP Pavillion XE783 with some added RAM. Is there anything I can add to it to make it run games smoother?

it's all about the video card I have after years of goofing off have determined. The video card pulls 60% of the weight. Processor pulls about 25% and ram the other 15%

Well, in my opinion, not much. I looked up the specs for your computer. Found them here.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=ca&docname=bph06558

The lack of an AGP slot limits your upgradibility. BUT, you can find a few PCI graphics cards out there. Here is the best I could find.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1010678&CatId=319

Also, I would suggest that you upgrade your RAM to at least 256 megs.

Now, if you are a gamer, then I think it will soon be time for a new rig. I would not get a new one now, because both Intel and AMD will soon be featuring brand new products soon. Dual Processor processors. These have 2 processor chips on one die. They will be faster and cooler than the current chips. Combined with SLI and PCI Express, the computer gaming world will jump forward a lot.

Thanks.
I've already bumped the ram up to 256 and I may get that card if it isn't too expensive.
I think I'll have to end up saving for a new sysytem. After all, I've got over 4 years out of this one.

Truth is that XP does it best when it comes to games. As much as it pains me to say that.
