It's nice keeping the "old" skillz up.
I have to agree though about the bots. They really aren't aggressive enough and tend to run right past the monsters instead of taking them out.

I will turn up the bots but won't that turn up the monster's skill too? That's why I have them set to average right now.

Forget about the bots. Half the time the bot paths don't work or don't exist, and they'll only follow you so far into the map. If you order them to cover you, but then get too far ahead of them they forget about you and just stand around. If you order them to attack, they run in place.
The best thing to do if they are with you when you encounter monsters is to order them to "engage according to operational paramaters". They'll attack the monsters until they die. Then they respawn back at the start and you're on your own anyway.
Forget about the bots. You need other humans with you, or a lot of patience, depending on the map. Figuring out a strategy to use in a tight spot is half the fun. ;)
If you encounter two monsters fighting each other, take potshots at the tougher monster until he's dead, and then kill the easier one.

Nameless is right bots do nothing at all.They spawn room u have to get out they stay in that room unless one follew u out.

another vote against the bots drop them at best they take all power ups u need, better without them all togther and leaving the guns on is better then 4-5 players waiting around for guns to come back up map vote is helpful too one of the trials maps had a dodgy room one of the bridges didnt work managed to get past with a trick but a noob would of just got sick and left (the magic boost for those that know). other then that it seams to play great good work
ps the mod nameless was talking about is great too so please put it on the one with random health etc :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

the trials map working ok must of just been a glitch that time round and was gonna post about the maps only playing 5 or so but bigi beat me to it

Check with nameless UTJMH mod which not to use because there is servel one He couldn't move. I never that problem. weapson need to stay, voter map and no jumping maps unless u put doudle jump mod or grapphle hook mod.Donot put glasscoop that you need about 6 to 8 poeple right nameless

Gahhhh..... I'm in Montreal at my brother's house. 5 PC's and not one has UT on it. I'm like, going through severe withdrawl here. :?

Scify, as far as that not being able to move problem goes, I believe it turned out to be some sort of problem with certain maps relating to "team colours". I don't know what that means, but maybe Herm does. I do know that it took Jackie at the nlcjr.com server a long time to find the cure. Something to be wary of for sure, if the UTJMH mod is to be used. This btw was the UTJMH v.2.1 mutator. Jackie did try a later version, and I could move again, but when he dropped back to v.2.1, I was frozen on certain maps again, until he found the cure. I don't know why Jackie prefers the earlier version of the mutator, but it runs fine now. :D

The reason it is cycling the same 5 maps is because those are the only ones that came with the Monster Hunt Mod. I have another 60+ maps but I haven't tested them yet. I want to test them before I put them on because I do recall that many of them really sucked bad and aren't worth putting on. I just need to weed out the bad ones first and then I will put them on. I started this once before but right off the bat I can say that I'm missing files because more than half won't launch in test mode saying they can't find one of 2 files usually. One is called BAK or something like that and I can't remember the other one. I have a message into Skillz requesting access to his forum so I can grab all of the maps they have there. Is there a way that you can send me those that you mentioned. Nameless and Scify, please chime in and let me know if you know a better place than Skillz's web page to get them. I turned up the bots to adept and to me the monsters got a lot better along with the bots. It's hard now to play by yourself. Should I set them back?

Herm, I don't believe I added any custom MH maps on my server, so most if not all that I have would have come from the two game mods I have.

You can download one here.

It is about 73Mb, I have the file on my server if you want to arrange a transfer instead. I don't think I test all of the maps, but most where cool if I remember right. It may have the files you are missing.


The other is this file. It is much smaller. I belive this was the mod I ran.

I'm getting the maps now from that site. 126mb worth of maps in fact. The second link you posted was the original 5.0 mod for Monster Hunt. I had it already but thanks. So are you saying that you have ore maps than this giant 126mb pack? I have multiple request in to Skillz at this pointhink he is by far the best resource anything MH related. He is the one I worked with a year ago to try to bring this mod back to life and took the ball and ran like hell with this idea. He has a dedicated website and a couple of the finest MH servers around. A player by the name of Fearless is in on all of this too. He too is remarkably helpful. Almost as helpful as you Bigi! Thanks.

I think that pack is the place where I got most, if not all of my maps. I may have converted some here and there...from downloading from other servers.
