Ok I've turned the speech tools back on in the task bar, and I've hooked up this nice stick microphone I have to my sound card.

Am I good to go, or do I need to do anything else for voice chatting in UT 2004?

Errrm... You may get lots of feedback when you use the mic. Then again, the speakers will be muted to a point. I wish you luck.

Yeah Herm lets go! When will you be on?

I tested it on an empty server, and something seemed to be happening. No feedback noticed. I've noticed that most people that are trying to use voice chat sound compressed and soft. Is there any way to turn up the volume on that? I wasn't getting all of it all the time either. Ping related?

I have to clean house for my wife since her family is coming in town to see the house for first time. That's why I didn't make it on until now. Sorry about that. We will have to work out something soon where we can both be on. I'll come here and post a time for you next time I have time.

lol...wish I was that good. For you programmers out there, that link is pretty cool, provides several sample applications on using TTS or SR in C++, VB and Web apps for development and distrubtion.....trust me, will be taking a look at those.

I may try writing my own voice answering system for the phone first....seems like a good place to start....lol. Always wondered how they did that. Catch you in a few months on that one lol.
