Tonight the SCI-FI channel premiered the new series. The first 30-45 minutes were lacking and then it came about at full speed and finished up very nicely. Many of the characters are of the same name but this time StarBuck for instance is a woman and so is Boomer. They are showing the 2 hour opener 3 times in a row so if you missed it just now, it's actually on again right now. It will be on again at midnight too Central Standard time. Set the recorder if you are a sci-fi fan like I am. I give it a score of 9 out of 10 since I didn't like the beginning at all but if it's a 9 by me you know it has to be fair to awesome. I was a big fan in the 70's or 80's, whenever it originally aired. The new Cylons are AWESOME looking.

I thought they were going to do a whole series. This isn't a mini-series. It's a two part remake only. I guess they are waiting for sponsers to jump out of the woodwork before they waste money making more episodes. I read a lot of the chatter about it and it sounds to me like most people didn't like this version. Hmmm? I liked it. Sorry to hear you thought it was too dark and gloomy for you Chef Tri. I'm curious......what do you think the mood will be like at the end of the world??? LOL Later!

Herm:

Its a mini-series.. part 1 and 2 now and more to come.. some of stuff in part 1 was shot up here in Vancouver..

I watched it and thought it was good. It is a dark version of the story.. I thought Cylon sex was good. Mah would have liked that..

Commander Schwantzadama!

I was starting to wonder where you were. That's good news to here. Do you know how long we'll have to wait for another installment? Did you actually see them making any of it? Can you think of a scene you know is from there. I need to go to Canada some day. Sure can't afford to do anything right now but if I can help it, I'd like to never leave the continental Americas again. Canada, Mexico and South America have it all anyway. Sorta like TEXAS!

The scene inside Baltar's house with Number 6 is a home near Lion's Bay just to the Northwest of Vancouver. Shots with Baltar and Number 6 on a campus like setting was shot at Simon Fraser University. I didn't see any of the shooting. Halle Berry (sp?) is shooting the movie Catwomen 2 blocks from my building.. Really forks of the traffic as its on my route home from the orifice.

Of course Battlestar Galactica is only on the American Satellite systems and not available for Canadians till the new year. Since I work for the dish police, I of course have to sample the product.. LOL
