I downloaded a browser called Mozilla 1.4 a month or two ago and have been meaning to check it out. I will do.

Any one used it before....or do you think netscape may be better?

I think that Dead Sun uses it if I'm not mistaken , seems that there was a thread some time back maybe even going back to the old forum , about that .......... let us know how it works if you give it a go !..........

I've got a thread going at a computer help forum, asking which browser is the best.
Netscape is nfg for this forum. I know, because the computers at my library are using Netscape, and you can't see anything that you type with it in a reply box, let alone read the threads very easily. :?

Instead nameless is waiting in line for the next flawed microsoft program.

P.s. Bill Paxton rocked in that movie Mort.

No worries for those of us who already use Opera. 8)

Shhh.. Don't tell anyone at Microsoft, but I use Mozilla Firebird. I really like it a lot. To learn more, check out the link below.

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/

I think it is worth the download. It has tabbed browsing, built in pop-up blocking, and more. It is still BETA, but hell, most of Microsoft's stuff is too
PLUS, it is compatable with Windows, Linux, AND OS-X...

I found a thread at the computer help forum, that asked which browser people were using. Most are on IE 6, after trying a lot of the others out there. Mozilla 1.4 is popular, as is Opera, but for various reasons such as Mozilla's inability to render good graphics on certain pages, most of the members over there gravitated back to IE 6.

I'm waiting for the alpha version of Mozilla firebird, for now. :|

Ok, I looked over the version 1.4 I had downloaded, and liked it. I read through their website. I checked out the version 1.5, 1.6, and firebird. My recommendation is download it.

http://www.mozilla.org/

I liked the 1.5 version, and just got the 1.6, where it looks like they fixxed a couple issues I ran into on 1.5. Firebird is cool, but I will wait for the Final cut....maybe...have finished checking it out.
I am running the 1.6 now.

Ups...
Nice popup blocker, with ability to allow certain sites.

Tabbed browsing feature is cool, with the ability to group a bunch of tabs under one book mark so they all open.

Has email and IRC features that I haven't really checked out that well yet, still an avid express fan.

Its not microsoft....

downs...
You can't transfer files to your ftp like you can in IE, so if you use this, you have to get WS FTP (my recommendation for FTP transfer)

It doesn't seem to recognize the *.RAR file as a download....it wants to open it in html format....unsure why. For now, to download a RAR file, you have to right click the link and click 'save target as

I will finish reviewing the plugins for it this week sometime.

I highly recommend you give it a try. I was an avid IE user....but I think I have seen the light. I just took a day to get used to it....it was really hard to get used to the lack of pop ups, I almost miss them...

Hey Bigi, How can you use IE to upload files to your internet space?

I use WS FTP as well, but only because I did not know that there was another option (well, another FREE option).

TIA

Just type FTP://ftp.yourdomain.com in IE, enter the username and password in the box. Then just drag and drop files to/from that browser window.
