Ditto on the "Hulk sucked balls" idea. While watching the film in a packed theatre, I took great pride in loudly vocalizing the phrase
"Hulk bored." Needless to say, it got quite a laugh from the audience. :D

Matrix II was decent. Terminator III was a letdown after the last one. X-Men II was fair. Sad as it is to say, one of the best films I have seen this year ended up being "Freddy vs. Jason." In all, not a good year for movies. :(

But........NEXT YEAR IS GONNA KICK SOME MAJOR BUTT!
(Spider-Man! Spider-Man! Spider-Man! Spider-Man! Spider-Man!)
(Star Wars! Star Wars! Star Wars! Star Wars! Star Wars!)
(Harry Potter! Harry Potter! Harry Potter! Harry Potter! )

I used to get all of the X books, and to me, this is one of the best comic book movies out there. I really enjoyed it. If you have read the X-Men in the past, then I suggest that you pick this one up. The ending left me eXcited about the next movie.

I would be interested in seeing a T4. T3's ending kinda sucked. But the story line was good enough I think they could do another without Gov. Arnold.

The word on X-Men 3 is that everything is still up in the air. The cast has agreed to return, but the final storyline is undecided (only a treatment and story outline exist). There is alot of talk about doing something with the "Dark Phoenix" storyline. There is also talk about bringing in the Sentinels (X-Men fans will know what I'm talking about). It is slated for a 2006 release (along with Hulk 2).

Well, if you like that, then you will be pleased to know that Wolverine is getting his own movie. It will be released shortly after X3.

The question was "what is the best movie of these five in the past year?"

I only see three choices not five. Out of those three there a two very good movies and one major peice o'crap. None of the three where the best during the past five years, even if you narrow them down to the scifi/action genre.

X2, Spider-Man, X-men, Daredevil. O.K. Daredevil would not make the top five but would make the top ten. It is unfortunate they even released the Hulk. I would have respected a move to shelve it, not even direct to video as they did with the live action Fantastic Four. And what the hell is it with directors wanting to reinvent the wheel all the time. Examples, Spider-Mans webs, How the Hulk came to be. I don't mind a little tampering like bringing Mary Jane into the Spider-Man story line years earlier than was so in the comics, but leave the nuts and bolts of what works alone.

Oh did I mention I like comic books :-) as a matter of fact I'm wearing my Punisher shirt right now, No mercey for the Guilty, Nuff' said.

Skank

lol fluffy ur right that is a better question...... and i agree on that (spider-man) but on hulk i think they fucked up the way he came to be in the comics it was from the gamma in the first place nuthing to do with an experiment.

Setting of huge explosive devices may not be an experemint but I'm sure you'd agree it had to be fun. As a child I was a big Hulk fan. Not just the comics but also those cheesy cartoons in the sixtys that we now refere to as "talking heads". Yep would always rush home as not to miss The Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Iron-Man, Sub-Mariner, and of course the Amazing Spider-Man.

I got so many comics it's scary. Best of the lot X-Men #1 (not the giant issue).

I have some of my tendrils buried into the soul of Hollywood. I did a little stint with the television/film industry (ever seen the movie "The Crow?"). I kept some contacts, as well as a few other sources.

For you comic book fans, here are some of the films that are in the works.

*Hellblazer (being called 'Constantine') released next year starring Keanu Reeves (if they screw this one up, I will personally kill them!)
*Hellboy (finished. Due out soon)
*Blade 3 (almost finished)
*Batman (No more of the campy crap. This actually looks to be a good one where he fights Scarecrow and Ra's al Ghul)
*Catwoman (with Halle Berry)
*Fantastic Four (in pre-production)
*Captain America
*Spawn 2
*Lobo
*Wonder Woman (possibly starring Sandra Bullock)
*Daredevil 2 (in pre-production)
*The Flash (for television)
*Elektra
*Ghost Rider (starring Nicholas Cage. In pre-production)
*Iron Man (in pre-production)
*Iron Fist (why? why? why?)
*Superman: Last Son of Krypton (restarting the entire storyline)
*Punisher (due out next year)
Oh yeah, and another Crow movie, starring the guy who plays 'Angel' from 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.'
