did all of you who have windows know you can change your chime when you start up your computer

if you go to your control panel go under sounds and devices when that comes up click on sounds scroll down to start windows and you can put any wav file you want to play when you start your computer i just found this out last night and thought i would share

Accidently click on "yes" on the dialogue box that springs up from the Gator Corp, and you install a home page hijacker, by the looks of things. Good ol' Gator, always trying to sell us shtuff :roll:
I think I just picked up a mega dose of tracking cookies at that first website too. :?

Gator is right up there with Kazaa as far as spyware goes and is worse i bet since they offer that password program with it that remebers all your passwords for you and personal info. Quick! Run the Adaware update and then the tool itself. Now do it again. Use the Spybot now too. Now go take a shower and brush your teeth. Hurry off to church next! Don't forget to confess what you did. Have priest bless and excorcise you PC. After all that you might just be OK. Good Luck and God Bless.

Ok, so I over reacted a bit. I just got pissed because after clicking on a couple of sounds I was redirected to advertising websites, and it was a pain to escape. Lots of popups too. But "only" three tracking cookies as it turns out. One from good ol' Gator itself, and two from Hitbox. :oops: :?

I didn't think you over reacted at all. I just hate Gator that much. They have a new method of tricking you by wanting to install some special downloading program and the only indicator it's them is it is signed by Gator. I think these companies should have to tell you what you are getting exactly or not be able to send it to you.

I didn't know you were whatever you called yourself. I myself am a devout atheist, thank God!
