I found a cheater on one of the servers the other day. It wasn't a regular. He just got on and kept sending monster kill messages to my PC. It was very annoying being that I was whoppin him. I kicked him and he didn't come back but there are plenty of cool new cheats out there so I'll be putting UTPure or CSHP+ or some kind of cheat protection on soon. I will also be changing the ports from which the CGs are currently using which will make me appear off line to you until you remove the CGs from favorites and re-add them them from the DeathMatch tab. This is due to an server attack that I already have a fix for but it has been shutting down CG1 regularly and changing my default port will make it even harder for this person to try next time. The attack isn't just hitting me. It attacks all servers using the same port CG1 is on. Actually, I'll be changing the ports for all 3 servers. I'll post when i do it. Lastly, I bought my first legal Operating System since 96 and will be installing it soon. I expect the servers to be down for several days while I rebuild, tweak, modify, fail, tweak more, upgrade, reinstall, test, etc. You get the point. That's it for now. Later. LOL Mah, I don't think Death was the problem on the monster kill thing hehehehe.......he earns it legit. I've watched over his should a couple of times and it blows me away how good he is. U should hear him cuss when the ole loop of poop rolls around. LOL<br><br>Herm, I've had the same monster kill thing happen on my server about a month or so ago. Can't remember the guy's name but I got on and noticed the same monster kill thing over and over again. I shut down the server after that for awhile and have not seen it happen since. I wish I had kept the log file after that one. I thought it was my server just going sckitzo on me. Do you happen to remember the guys/gals name? I'm sure if I saw it again that it might ring a bell. From what I can tell it's pretty much harmless other than being truely annoying. Let me know if you can find the name.<br><br>A very curious Kidcapri <p></p><i></i>

I'm sorry to hear that Herm, would you happen to have some of you log file available? I'd like to see if this guy is up on MMRA at all, and if so, BAN HIM. As for Death_Inc., where has he been lately? He needs to come throw some "MMMMONSTER KILL" my way...As for the Denial of Service attack, I have notice that my server has been shut down a few time over the past month or so, I will comb the logs for evidence; If i see anything I'll let you know, it would make a better case to an attacker's ISP to have multiple parties filing complaints. Until the CG server group is back up, I will keep MMRA up as best as I can (excepting this Sat. night, Insight Broadband Network Maintenance) I will be installing UTPure as well to cope with the stoopid folk. <p>"Strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government! Just right click on the links to CG in your server browser and select "remove from favourites". Third time I restall I made copy after that I got every thing in . One way of stopping the attack is to change your default server port off of 7777 to something else. There has also been a fix available at one of the many UT sites. I used it so far. I didn't look over the logs. I did just find out there is a free server only version of UT. I'm going to look into it. I need to start keeping track of all of the stuff I have to do to put up a good server with security patches, super downloads, mods, tweeks, and all of the rest of the stuff I'm already forgetting. The guys name had the letters XL in it somewhere if I recall. I still haven't rebuilt the system yet. I hope I get to this weekend to be honest. So much to do eveyday! Hey Herm, what map was running when this monster killing occured. I've found that Morbias is one of those maps that you can get Mkill after Mkill if you got the right method and don't have to worry about ammo. Your sites don't have an ammo limit right? If they do perhaps he was using an ammo cheat and just had really ggod technique. Of course this is only if this killing occured on the morbias or fractal maps. It's still O.K. to acuse people of cheating when you know there not isn't it? I love to get people all cheesed with that one. I also like to tell people I'm gunna cheat just before I whoop em' hard.
