Tri,

Are you:

1) An audiophile?

2) Someone who uses his computer as a primary music station/stereo?

If not, then don't go blowing over $100 on a soundcard, because, like Jarg said, you can get a very decent sound card for very cheap these days.
<SRA>/v/ahatma

Since your speakers are a 2.1 setup, I think that any decent card will do, but if you want a little more....
I found a Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum on pricewatch for $66. That seems like a great price.

And, like I said, I love my Santa Cruz. It is produced by Voyetra, which also makes pro audio equipment. Plus, you do NOT get the CRAP that comes with a Creative product. Check it out HERE.

From the reviews on some popular magizines, the Phillips Edge cards are tough to beat. Look at the PRICE at Best Buy
<SRA> The Jargonaut

Edited by: Jargonaut at: 5/9/03 6:33:30 pm
