Hey...<br><br>What is it with this competitive streak? If you want to have frag nights, why not just forget the tournament nonsense and password protect the server for a couple of hours for regs to get on and goof around (or play as if their lives depended on it, as if winning was the only option....you know who you are). I imagine that you would get more players if you set it up this way, and posted what the game password will be for that night...the tournament scores mean frick-all, anyways...the only way to find out who is "the best" is to have a lan party with identical machines and hardware. It means very little to me to decimate someone who has twice my ping, or is playing on a system substandard to mine. In my view (and, granted, it is only MY view), I see people that figure that this is important and means something in the real world, are the same people that will stand at a urinal and sneak peeks at the other fellas "package" to see how he measures up. I am not speaking as one who loses alot either...I win far more matches than I lose, and still don't give a sh!t if I win or lose, as long as I am having fun doing it...feel free to flame away, if that is your inclination...at least it will tell me who of my m8's are worthy adversaries, and which ones need to get a life...<br><br>Bo <p></p><i></i>

Bo. Have you played one of these tourneys? It is very different from the run of the mill game that you pop in on. The intensity level is pumped up by a factor of 10. It is not uncommon for the best players to have 40, 50, and even 60 deaths. It really does not matter to me who wins, as long as we all have fun.<br>I suppose that it is tougher than other games because all of the players are regs, and know most of the tricks. This means that the one who can come up with a new strategy on the old maps is the winner. I don't think that it the competition that we thrive on, but the experience. That is why I love them. My second favorite game is Civilization III, a strategy game. I enjoy coming up with new strategys. <br>Either way. Why don't you join the tourney tonight? That way, you can see why we enjoy them. Also, I like the idea of a password protected frag fest. Would you want to do this on your server?? <p><SRA> The Jargonaut<br></p><i></i>

Now, folks...<br><br>I don't want anyone thinking that ol' Bo is a sourpuss...I have in fact participated in a tourney or two...the first, I won (surprised the hell out of me). But ya know....big whoop...I didn't put it on my resume or a T-shirt...it was fun, and I got to kick alot of the other big-guns keisters for them...but that is as far as it goes for me, I'm afraid...I enjoy the friendly atmosphere and cameraderie, but just don't get off on the competitive side of things, I guess...I play purely for enjoyment...I didn't mean to rain on anyone's parade, here...just my opinion, and you know what they say about those...<br> As to running friendly frag-fests...I'm game...and I cannot stress the "friendly" enough...I enjoy doing foolish things like spawning monsters for my m8's, and clowning around...and having fun doing it...and when it ceases to entertain me...well, I'll find something else to do...but, I say again...my opinion matters for naught in the grand scheme of things...I hope everyone has a blast...cya out there, m8's...<br><br>Bo<br><br> <p></p><i></i>
