To play UT on line all you have to do is install the game and apply the 436 patch and you can play on line. I had just recently disabled the downloads from the server for when the files weren't on my redirect web server. I decided to see what a brand new player with no bonus packs or anything would have to do to get to CG. So, I installed as I described above and sure enough when I tried to connect to CG, I got a "Server refused to sned file" error message. Now before a week ago or so, it would have downloaded the file from CG which would have put everyone in the high pings and such, possibly even disconnected a few of you. I turned that off. <br> Now, even if a newbie has nothing but the game and the patch installed, he can quickly connect to CG and we will never notice the download pings. I will place a Test player in the CG to ensure that all of the other maps and such are also downloading properly. Please don't kick the AdminTestPlayer. Thanks!<br> <p></p><i></i> |
