I hope I speak for Schwantz and I know I speak for myself when I say there is no threat here when it comes to having new server admins. I can't remember if I was the first to try my own away from SRA and I wanted it to be exactly as good as SRA. The original CG never added up to a SRA by my standards but I loved doing it. I think it is paying off big for all of us now. I never knew how to do the instant uploads back then so I had to resort to stock maps only. That actually turned out to be a good thing for all of the newbs. Schwantz didn't have any problem with it and helped me when he could. The more servers the better. I have steered away from my original mission by adding more stuff than what comes with the game and bonus packs but the fast download takes the sting out. I hope each of you finds your own little nitch in the UT world of ours as admins. Time will tell. You will come across plenty of stupid little things that will make you pull your hair out but it is a great way to spend time in my opinion. Good Luck all. Hermskii

Wanna bet? I did 3 servers on one machine and played from that same machine for over a year. [Insert food for thought here] Hermskii

Cool. I didn't want you or Schwantz to think I was doing this just to rain on the parade. I am glad this is not threatening or was it even meant to be by any means. Like I had said before.....this has been a big stress relief in my life as of lately and has brought many headaches and nights of pulling the hair out but has all been worth it. Plus it is always great to have a back up plan/place to play when everything else is down for one reason or the other. Plus the overall learning experience has been wonderful. I never in a million years thought I would be able to set up a webserver and after 4 hours of reading and messing with config files I had figured it out. The server and the webserver are all on the same machine. Call me a cheapy for not going out and hunting for webspace and huge bandwidth but this was suits me fine at the moment. None of the files for the redirect are overly huge (except 1 that goes with the Chaos UT maps) so amazingly it runs pretty good considering it is only a 500 celey. Thanks for the re-assurance Herm, last thing I want to do with the gang is start pissing the guys that started it all off. Now with that out of the way and off the chest....... Kid: Fill your boots. I'm slowly retiring. Since servers tend to go down at the worst times, it's good to have more than one server to play on. Hermskii's doing a great job but that doesn't mean you can't either. It can be trying, it can be fun. But don't tie up a computer if no one is using it. There are many games and mods out there crying for more servers. RA is an eclectic taste and doesn't support a raft of RA servers, but 3 or 4 is probably just right. BONE Non-Poncing Schwantz

Thanks for the advise boss man. I will be more than glad to fill my boots.......with what I am not sure but fill them never the less. I understand what your saying about tying up another computer if it is not going to be used for its intented purpose. For now it will be a UT machine but I am sure as other killer games come down the pipe that it could possibly be something else but this would not happen for a long time. Got a shock when I saw your webpage looking different from what I have normally come to expect over the coarse of the past year I have been around. I want to wish you good luck with whatever you decide to do with that page and hope this doesn't mean that we won't be seeing as much of you because of this. Great servers......great webpage......and thanks so much for bringing the masses one of the if not the best damn mods I have ever played on any game.....PERIOD. I tip my hat off to you....... Thank you for the nice comments Kid. It is appreciated for sure. That portion of the web page hasn't been updated in ions and was quite frankly out of date and non-representative of what's current in SRA land. I plan to maybe dedicate it to ut2k3 or perhaps something else but this forum will continue but perhaps under new managment as well. Me go away?? Not likely but I consider it a form of UT SRA retirement. Herm's carrying the Server torch as well as others like yourself. People like Jar and others have web pages and they will perhaps have more energy and time to devote to it. I no longer consider myself a leader in this, and I'm not much interested in being a figure head. You young guys grab the reins, keep it alive! Don't take any excrement either. BONE. no way herm is another server gonna come from this end the one slayed has for ut2k3 is enough my head and ears hurt from this one besides why would i want to make another when i have all of guys to play on i don't think i could handle slayed doing other one right now lets put it this way when he starts working on it i run out of the room exspecially when something doesn't work hottie
