Okay, youngins...I think I have got the bugs worked out of my server, Nuclear Winter Redeemer Outpost. It is very basic right now...only a few maps in rotation (no mapvote yet), Arena Match (nukes, of course), no custom ANYTHING right now. Currently testing for smoothness of play before I add all the maps and skins, re-enable download redirection, etc... Was running for a while about a week ago, but clients were having major headaches...had a few people in tonight, and they reported that it was running smoothly. DE version mismatch always seems to be a problem....there must have been two versions of that mutator available. The one I am running came on the UT Game of the Year disc...the way around this is to delete the de.u and de.int from your UT system folder...they will reload when you hook up with my server, and things will be back on track. Does anyone know the story behind this mismatch? I have ever only seen one version of the DE mutator available for download anywhere?<br><br>...and, thanx to all that have tested the beast...early reports say that it is running smoothly...finally...will be re-upping the custom maps and skins later today, most likely...I have tweaked versions of Cubicle (removed all the spawn points by the elevator), and Deck Impossible (removed the acid bath on the main level) that I will likely run in lieu of the more, how shall I say, LAME versions we are used to. Believe me, the tweaks make these maps more playable for all. Have a few more in mind for modding. I'm going to try out the server now and to answer the question about the de file mismatch problem, the answer is that <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>piece of crap UT Bonus Pack #2</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END-->. It has a different version of the de files on it. That's why I don't use bonus pack 2 and anyone who does can't connect to CG unless they do as you properly instructed above. I played four maps. I kept getting 900 for the FPH no matter what. My ping was a steady 90! It ran smooth the whole time. You've done a great job it looks like. I have removed one of my firewalls from one of my servers, not CG. You might want to try out House of Hermskii and see what you get for a ping there. I don't have an answer as far as your bad ping on CG goes. Sorry. I will continue trying little things here and there. Lets keep in touch so we can figure it out. Nice Server! Am probably going to up all the custom stuff later today...am deathly afraid to change anything, though...is running TOO good, perhaps, and well, you know about Murphy's Law...lol...<br> Oh well...have saved my current .ini file and have taken a bunch of screencaps of my router settings in case anything goes wrong with the customization...will update when the custom stuff is available...later, buds...<br><br>Bo<br><br>p.s.
