Well folks a while ago I posted a couple threads about top 10 bands or songs or albums or something like that. Now I may have posted this top 10 list also but I can't quite remember. Drum roll please.

Top 10 video/arcade games of all time:

1. Unreal tournament (Has to be #1. I'm still playing it after all this time.)
2. Dragon's Lair (just as fun to watch someone else play)
3. Ms.Pacman (I'll have to ask Dr.Cathy why I like Ms.Pacman more the
regular pacman)
4. Rampart (lotsa projectiles....cool)
5. Panzer General (Get to fight the orignal Axis)
6. Asteroids (simplest graphics ever. Loads of fun.)
7. Super Zaxxon (One of the 1st arcades I can remember that had
dimensionality to it)
8.Donkey Kong (As the boss knows we Mac users lovet his one)
9.Oddworld:Abe's Oddysey (great sound and graphics as well as
humorous)
10. Space Invaders (Have to have this 1. 1st home gaming experience.
Atari 2600 rules)

Naughtius Maximus

"Brothers! What we do in life...echoes through eternity!"

Cool.......I am gonna have to think about this one really hard cause there are way too many killer games that have come and gone over the years just to point out 10 of them.

Here are a couple I thought of for now.....will update this when others come to me.

1: Unreal Tournamanet (this would have to be a given)
2: All of the Grand Turismo Racing games (has to be the best racing series I have ever seen)
3: Most of the games for the Atari 2600 (cut alot of teeth on this little machine - went thru 3 of them)
4: Donkey Kong (heheh wonderful MAC game but great for killing time on a 4 hour ferry ride from Seattle to Victoria on vacation)
5: Any and all of the Laser Disk games (All the Dragons Lairs, Space Ace and little known one called Cliffhanger)
6: Gaunlet series (spent untold amounts of cash playing all of these - the first one was the best)
7: Tekken series (saw the first one in the acarde and have been an addict ever since)
8: Street Fighter series (another good fighter that was always high energy)
9: Radien series (one if not the best shooter/over head space ship game)
10: This list need to be the top 50 because there are just too many to list.

There are a couple of my personal favorites and I am sure I will think of another 10 before the day is out. Cool idea MAX.

|<idcapri

Hey you bent the rules a little there Pimp. It is hard to keep it to 10 though. Hey mah Galaga would have been on my list as well along with Missile command but I just couldn't leave Space invaders off. Do you remember how you could take a picture of your high score and send it in for some kinda prize or something.
Naughtius Maximus

"Brothers! Ahh, I used to be the Mario Master at my college, so I have to add Super Mario Bros. to this list. We also had tourneys for Techmo Bowl, which was a blast. And I used to love fighting games, like Street Fighter II and Tekken. Wow, my list could take up a whole page, but, of course, like most here, UT remains the best game for me.
<SRA> The Jargonaut

I have all of the old games like Galaga, Asteroids, Defender, Donkey Kong 1, 2, 3, Jr., Joust, Blah Blah Blah. Really! Try me! I'll let you know if I have it or not. I have about 600 of them right now. I can send you a few of them if you want with an instruction set of how to install them. Might take a couple of days to get it all together. I got the name Hermskii from a site that had the downloads of all of these games. Yes, even Robotron, Tron, Missile Command, Gauntlet, etc. etc. I have all of the roms zipped. I may have to put the emulater on the web server and you can download it from there. Let me know. Send me an email at:

Hermskii@Houston.RR.Com

Later!

Hermskii

Ain't it amazing how SMALL those ROM files really are? To think that these games were the state of the art when.....uh.... you old folks were growing up
<SRA> The Jargonaut
