In case some of you were wondering what happened today on CG:<br><br>1. During a game on DM-Agony, a hacker (either someone who was already there and acting like a douchebag (perhaps Devil'sHolyJoke?) or someone new) employed a "device" that allowed him to change his name every 3 seconds to everyone else's name.<br><br>2. ALso during this game, someone tried to use a cheat/BOT. Herm's server kept giving warning messages that one cannot use such things on his server.<br><br>3. Thinking that it might be the same douchebag, I decided to boot the guy and ban his IP. <br><br>4. He came back on without any hesitation (was he spoofing an IP address to begin with?) and began attacking the server.<br><br>5. He said: "Don't be an @#$% and bad things won't happen."<br><br>6. Pings shot up into the thousands, and I then I was dropped from the server. I came back on, and noticed other people being dropped. Then the whole server appeared to crash.<br><br>7. Hottie reports that her computer locked up, and she had to do a hard reboot.<br><br>Anyone else have any thoughts on this?<br><br>Needless to say, I emailed Herm right away.<br><br>More drama later,<br>Mahatma <p><br><SRA>/v/ahatma</p><i></i>

nice attack that guy had but CG actually didn't crash. It survived the whole thing. The poor guy probably had to stop the attack to be able to surf the net and when he did our flag was still there! I didn't even have to reboot. Sorry about what happened to the rest of you though. He keptup the attack for over an hour and it was directed at the game not my PC.
