Hey Tri:<br><br>Have not noticed sound going entirely, but on Herm's CG I noticed that on a few of the larger maps with alot of participants, and alot of action happening, the sound was distorted...thought it was just MY computer acting up...hmmmm...<br><br>Bo <p></p><i></i>

It an on the Motherboard sound chip on an intel 845pebt2 ! I don't have a pci type sound card installed... I've been trying some tweaks to try and get better frame rates out of ...I tried uping the Refresh rates from 60 to 75...could this be the problem?? Also..when I try to use any other resolution above 1024 x 768 , the sound gets crackly too!! thanks ,Tri<br> <br>ps.. mah I got my AIM on if you can help me..I'd appreciate it!!!! <p></p><i></i>

<br>Tri, is this computer a Dell? If so, check their forums and faqs for possible driver updates to resolve this issue.<br><br>On-board audio is never that great, so it could be many things. Sorry I can't be of more use here. I used to have a soundblaster 16 that had the crackly problem, but it was fixed in a Bios update. Right now, I have a Dell with on-board audio also, but no problems.<br><br>One thing you might try is going to Google Groups and searching for the problem there.
