You're from Berkeley. You know what you must do. Protest! Loudly!

I would suggest leaving the redeemer at home though.

Grow your hair long and join a grunge band. This way if you decide to march and protest you'll look like you belong there. If the cops get to rowdy at least Canada is close. You can always run for the border and smoke some Bud with the Boss. Oh yeah, and buy an umbrella.

Naughtius Maximus

Hey have a good time in the PNW. I grew up on Mercer Island and my grandparents lived in the Ravenna district! Nice part of the country but too damn cloudy...thats what drove me away! If you get a chance there is a great bar/poolhall/restaurant called 'The Garage' on Broadway! Really relaxing! Very cool place! If you have any free time you should check out 'Soundgarden' the sculpture in the NOAA sculpture park! And if anything the drive to Roslyn to have a beer at 'The Brick' is totally worth it too.

//\etal//\an
http://www.marshallhoyt.com

see my work...need my work...BUY MY WORK!!!!!

Hehehehe funny yous.

Torp, thanks for your email. Unfortunately, I got it at 11 p.m., and the next day I was booked up until I was driven to the airport.

I am considering a professorship at Seattle U, and they flew me up for interviewing etc.

I did not make it to many bars -- just one, and I can't remember the name, but I think it was in Queen Anne where my bro lives. I got to eat at a place called Cactus, near where one of the senior faculty lives (no one can afford places there, but this guy bought Microsoft stock way back when).

I went to Starbucks and asked to speak with Mr. Venti. I said NM sent me. They just laughed.

A lot of the faculty live on the east side -- Bellevue etc. What is your opinion on the east side? Mah,
My sister lives in Kirkland and has a pretty nice house. Shes real near Totem Lake. My mom lived in Factoria in a townhouse. You must be rollin in it to be considering movin out there. I prefer the midwest where I can buy a 4 bedroom, 3 bath,2600sq.ft., for 93K,
people are far nicer out here as well. Jobs dont pay much, but that may be due to my career choice (you know how RESPECTED and VALUED teachers are!!!). You might be able to commute from communities like Mt. Si or Roslyn if you have a good vehicle. But then again thats why the traffic is so abhorrent there as well...people just love their vehicles and dont want to live near their jobs.

Downtown Seattle is pretty happenin if you can find a cheap enough flat!

//\etal//\an
http://www.marshallhoyt.com

see my work...need my work...BUY MY WORK!!!!!

hahahah yeah that's funny -- I'm rollin in dough.

People told me to consider the east side because you get more house for your money. I guess you can find cheaper homes if you look at the bottom of the hills!

Mahatma
