I was on the House of Hermskii (Redeemers Only), and nobody was logging on, so I decided to set the records for the server. I put up some pretty good numbers, but I know that some of you can do better. Since I was not facing any human opponents, my numbers are pretty high, but I have seen higher. If you do not know how to view the records, press F2 during the game. At the bottom of the page is the record frags per hour. Top three scores. Who can knock old Jarggy off the top (Herm resetting the server not included)?? If there were a few human newbies on, I know that the numbers would have been higher. Go for it!!! I'm flattered, but I'll tell you the secret.<br><br>For setting the high FPH record, always choose Fractal. Keep trying with bots. If you die or start to mess up early in the game, reconnect and start over. You want to get a perfect game in which you don't die and your first missile starts you out on the monsterkill road.<br><br>On Schwantz's a long time ago, when the bots weren't godlike, I got 4000 fph on Fractal.<br><br>Here's some more Fractal strategy: when you're playing against a lot of humans, and several of them are pod-crouching, the best place to go is behind the pillar. Down below is less vulnerable. Instead of hooking all the way out to the center and up, just hook around the corner and into the ground. Your blast will hit all the ground spawnpoints, and it will fizzle out the pod-campers' missiles. It is funny as all hell to see missiles coming out of the pods only to evaporate before they can detonate!<br><br>I cannot top Torpid's score on SRA. Sorry about that, nameless. I saw that you had the records, and like I said, I was bored. It took a while to beat them. <br>Mah, For the life of me, even with you telling me how you win at Fractal, I still am awed when you win without crouching. I do notice you behind the pillars, but for me, I just get looped, even when protected by the pillars. I tried that strategy to get those numbers, and failed every time. I used Pyramid to get the numbers, using the pillar arc technique, and the Scify "Stand and Deliver" method, which is VERY effective on that particular map, esp. on the second tier against bots.
