Hi guys. I just recently got all my systems updated and now all running wireless and I was actually thinking of picking up and old Blue & White g3 to add to the numerous computers I now have. Just for S#%$@ and giggles. Anyway, I was just starting to realize that I am turning into a full fledged computer geek and I was curious as to how many systems each of you guys have and what there specs were. See I am a computer geek now. Who else would ask a geeky question like that. My god what has happened to me. I used to be the outdoor sporty type. Now look at me. Anyway here are my toys. Just the important stats anyway. Powermac G4 Dual 1Ghz 768 Mb Ram ATI Radeon 9000 Graphics Card 80 gig hard drive DVD-R/CD-RW Dual Displays 15" Apple LCD 19" Blue & White Sony trinitron G3 iBook 12.1" display 600 Mhz 512 Mb Ram 30 Gig hard drive ATI Rage Video Card CD-RW/DVD Rom G3 iMac 400 Mhz 384 Mb Ram 12 Gig Hard Drive ATI Rage video card CDRom All the systems have airport cards, firewire, and built in ethernet. (Turbo) 3 HD's. 1 SCSI 20 Gig. ,2 EIDE w/160 Gig. Old Sound Blaster Zip (100 meg) 350 Watt PS This is still a "Work In Process". I've had this up to 2.6gHz with out stability problems, but the heat was a concern. Gonna get a new HSF set up then go fer it! Abit BH6 Celery 300 o/c'ed to 467mHz 512 SIMM mem. TNT2 64meg 17" ViewSonic 2.2 Gig Fujitsu Old Sound Card 1 CD-RW This is now my back up system. Worked very well for years. Only chip better to OC, is the 1.8gHz P4 ! I wanna try a 2.4gHz @ 500 FSB next but a new CPU and board is needed. The only Apples I have in the house are in the 4 Apple turnovers I'll have for breakfast. Hmmmmm......Apple turnovers.... humm.. my recently-upgraded current system (used to be a Celeron 400 with an ATI Rage Pro): Abit 64MB GeForce 3 video card Gigabyte BX-2000 motherboard (about 3 years old now) 1GHz Pentium III (slot 1, 100MHz FSB) 320MB RAM (a mix of Kingston PC100 and PC133) 8GB Maxtor hard drive (a second 40GB Maxtor drive is coming on line soon) CTX 17-inch monitor Logitech keyboard and mouse Antec mid-tower case Lite-On 24x CD-ROM drive US Robotics 56k V.90 modem dual boot windows nt 4.0 and windows 98 (not SE) Red Hat Linux 7 installed on 40 gig drive but not used there is also a working 475MHz K6-2 system two old 14-inch VGA monitors a keyboard with a bad 'B' key a perfectly fine mouse a (used to be working) 486DX2-66 with its floppy drive ripped out (it's now in my current system, i think) two ISA video cards, one VLB video card a 486DX-33 and a 486DX-50 both with motherboards but no RAM a 286 with a whopping 1MB of RAM on the motherboard a 20MB and a 200MB hard drive, both Seagate a 170MB Quantum hard drive an el cheapo 56k PCI winmodem an external 14.4k modem a few hard drive controller cards and I/O cards and cables a SCSI CD-ROM drive with no SCSI controller and no cable and a joystick that hasn't been used in ages.. computer hardware sure gets out-dated real fast.. - clemmentine ____________________________________________________________ ...
