Hey now. No fighting amongst the Mac faithful. I hate to say it MM but the Kid is correct. Quark and Photoshop are apples and oranges. You can compare Indesign and Quark if you like because they're both layout programs but not Photoshop and Quark. As far as Illustratror goes I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one as well. I love Illustrator. It especially useful when you wanna make a poster or billboard or a giant advert for the side of a bus. It's vector based so there is no pixelization when you blow up your work to a ridiculous size. I like using it with my Wacom tablet and pen. Smooth lines look real nice on the big stuff. Of course none of my stuff is on a billboard or bus yet. I am a little pissed at the folks at quark though. They have been dragging their feet on porting their product over to OSX. Indesign by Adobe is already there. Adobe can make a real dent in Quarks customer base.
As far as collaborating on the Mag that would be cool as hell Metal but it is your Baby so just let me know what your looking for and I'll be glad to help. Are you using OSX yet or are you still Running 9. I think I have your AIM account in my buddy list already as well as Kids. I'll try to get some screen captures as well and try to brainstorm on some ideas for the Zine. Maybe some of the other folks like Mah and Schwantz can send some cool screens as well. My email is
feydakin@mac.com if anyone wants to do that. You can use that email in your buddy list for AIM as well. AOL and Apple got together inm order for AIM folks and people with Mac mail accounts to converse with each other without Mac folks having to download AIM.
Naughtius Maximus
