LOL had a feeling that it would not take long for both sides of the PC/MAC group to comment on that one. I'm still laughing about the whole thing. Mah he did say fix or wipe in the first post so I figured I would go straight for the kill. I believe only XP and 2000 will let you uninstall stuff like IE service packs and updates. Don't remeber 98 ever letting you uninstall stuff like that.

So, was I right in my 12 steps or did I totally get everything wrong???? I know many of the the people that frequent the forum are still using 98 so basically I'm just wondering if I was correct in my thinking on how to wipe it clean.

Anyways......hope everything works out for ya XX and you get it back running soon.

|<idcapri

Hmmmm interesting Darkmatter.....NEW FACE! Never seen ya around here before so gots to say welcome to the gang. I have never had any luck with 98 booting from the CD rom no matter what device I had as the first boot. So basically I always went with the bootdisk method to take care of it. More than likely it might have been the crappy system I was installing it on during that time but who knows.

Glad somebody on the Windows side of the fence finally answered my question. And the new guy to boot.

Anyways......welcome aboard Dark.

|<idcapri
